Going Commando

Kyzil Plateau Veldin

After saving the planet from the evil Thyrranoids, Ratchet & Clank find themselves flying on an armored personnel carrier with a division of Imperial galactic rangers.

Kyzil Plateau 9 OK... I wasn't expecting this! The cargo bay door of the carrier opens while we're flying? The rangers explain that we have to parachute down to the plateau. They warn about missle fire coming up from the ground. Down we go. As Ratchet free-falls through the air, dodge left and right to avoid the missles coming up through the clouds. Some of the guards parachuting in formation with you, take a direct hit and vaporize around you. This is not good! Eventually you land safely.

Kyzil Plateau 10 2 galactic rangers are left with you on the plateau and a new swarm of baby thyrranoids and several robo-thyrranoids appear on the cliffs. Load the Shock Blaster and fire away. Avoid the robo-fire as best you can. There are Nanotech health cubes nearby around the back of the cliffs. Watch-out for a second wave of enemies to materialize. STRATEGY: Let your rangers worry about the baby thyrranoids. Focus your firepower on the big guys and take them down.

Kyzil Plateau 11 Once the area is clear, the rangers tell Ratchet the gate is open and he can proceed. Walk through the tunnel to the next cliff area. Another Tyhrranoid fighter-jet is hovering nearby. He starts firing right away. Hide behind the stone wall. Load the Shock Blaster. Jump up from behind the stone wall, and in mid-air, blast the fighter jet. Repeat this 4-5 times. Eventually the fighter jet explodes. A connecting bridge opens up giving access to the armored personnel carrier.

Walk up into the personnel carrier. [Movie sequence begins]. Ratchet & Clank fly back to the star explorer space jet. On the video screen, Commander Sasha thanks the group for their heroic efforts. She thinks they're not out of danger just yet, and asks Ratchet to meet her later on the Starship Phoenix. MISSION COMPLETE.
