After completing all the missions at the Zeldrin Starport, Ratchet & Clank return to the Starship Phoenix. [Movie sequence begins]. Captain Sasha is excited to see Ratchet and gives him a huge welcome home kiss.. Uh oh? They have bad news though. The Q Force team has been unable to locate Qwark and suspect he has died in the explosion on Nefarious' ship. They hold a memorial for Qwark to honor his service and dedication to the galaxy. Ratchet gets up and speaks.

Ratchet's not sure what to say, but tries to hide all the bad things he knows about Qwark. Everyone is moved by his speech except Clank, who breaks-in and thinks it's all bull-%#@& (Clank??) Roboshack Al hands Ratchet the 4th vid comic episode cartridge. Al says that Qwark wanted him to have it. Inside the vid comic is a clue to the next mission and a possible location where Nefarious may be trying to go next. Go to the living quarters and play episode 4 right now.

In the opening vid comic sequence, Qwark is lying on his couch at his comfy apartment in Metropolis watching soap operas on TV. Helga is at the door and is there to whip Qwark back into shape. She puts Qwark through a vigorous fitness training program to get him back to his superhero self. He now has a job to do, because Nefarious and his robots have come to Metropolis to get final revenge on Qwark and all his loyal Squishies.

So here we are. Episode 4 is based at the fitness training course in Metropolis. Qwark's mission is to complete the fitness course, then confront Nefarious in the streets of the city. The first half of the game is navigating the moving blocks and the slide ropes of the fitness course. Qwark has no weapon at this point. The secret is to watch the in-and-out movement of the Q blocks and jump to safety to the next platform. The blocks get a little trickey so pay attention!

DEJA VU: If you have played the origianl Ratchet & Clank game, you'll remember being in Metropolis on Planet Kerwan, going through Qwark's Fitness Course Challenge to get the original Swingshot from Helga. Ah.... memories?

As we go deeper into the fitness course, the blocks get tougher and tougher to negotiate. In this one section, not only do you have to watch the blocks to jump to, but you have to also watch the block above you, and time the jumps, so it doesn't knock you off the block you're on. I didn't come across any red tokens so far? Lots of blue tokens though, and jumps need to perfect so you don't miss one. Some sections have hover pad stairs that fall away if you stay on them for long.

After completing the fitness course, Qwark comes across a hover bus. Climb the ladder and then on top of the bus to take you to the streets of the city. STILL NO WEAPON. The bus hovers through the tunnel and small robot bees come out from under the bus and start to attack Qwark from all sides. Use your fist to punch all the bees away. Eventually the bus falls as it runs out of fuel, and crashes to the ground below. Qwark can safely jump to a nearby ledge. Grab the gun.

The ledges of the city are crawling with robot hives and swarms of bees. Fire one grenade and try to land it near a swarm of bees. They'll explode as they make contact with the energy grenade. Fire another grenade to take out the hive. If you don't destory the robot hive, more bees will swarm out and attack you again. Each ammo reload is worth up to a maximum of 10 grenades. In some tight areas, you'll have to be creative and bounce the energy grenades off walls, so they ricochet.

Work your way up the ladders and along the balconies, taking out all the robot bee hives along the way. The bees will get smarter and join together in an energy field. You'll need to fire 2-3 grenades up into the air, to disarm the energy field first, then to destroy them. There are 3 secret hidden red tokens on the upper ledges along the way. Eventually you meet up with Nefarious in a big boss battle. The room locks behind you. Fire grenades at him and punch him til he dies.

As in all previous vid comic games, completing the game with 100 tokens collected will earn you a titanium bolt. Depending on your time, up to a maxium of 8 minutes, you'll be awarded up to 20,000 bolts. [Movie sequence begins] Qwark defeats Nefarious and rises above the ashes of the city to proclaim victory. Little does he know, that Nefarious is still just barely alive and is lurking in the rubble. He's not done just yet?

Skill Point: Set a new record for Qwark. Blow through the game as quickly as you can (don't worry about tokens) in under 4:45 (very tough).

Back inside the living quarters of the Phoenix, everyone gathers around the couches to hear a transmission from the President (Sasha's father). He has seen the bio-annihilator being transported to another planet but he's not sure where. Al manages to decode data from the vid comic cartridge and suspects that Nefarious is in fact going to Metropolis.Co-ordinates are downloaded to Clank. Sasha says they'll meet you there.
