Once Ratchet has hacked the security lock for the robo-wing launch pad, with the decryptor, go fly over the water. One of the Zoni ghost robots appears and guides use through a ring course to get to the research facility. Fly through the aura rings in seqeunce as they appear. You'll be weaving in and around Troglosaurs and then diving through a water tunnel leading to another open grassy area. The Zoni guide you to a narrow ledge in the cliffs. Fall to the ground.

Walk up the path. Go to the Weapons Vendor and load-up on everything you need. Up ahead, take down the Anthropods roaming around the bridge. Up ahead a new nasty enemy. The steam roller contraption is a Kerchu Pyroguard. Even from a distance, this rolling tank fires very fast plasma balls that inflict heavy damage. You'll need to strafe left and right to avoid them. Use your raptor launcher when you get close for a lock-on. He blows-up after 2 waves of missles.

Walk up to the refinery building. Use the decryptor on the wall socket on the left. Override the security lock puzzle to release the door. This decryptor puzzle is more difficult and will require you move the metal ball across 2 open points. Use the six axis controller to move the ball from point to point. Remember, [X] holds the ball in place. Once unlocked, go through the opened door into the large gel refinery.

Meet another new enemy. This is a Kerchu Cyclone Sentry. When he sees you, he'll transform his armor into a rolling ball with edge blades. Watch out as he tries to run you over. When in blade ball form, the Kerchu can only travel in a straight line, so a simple dodge or strafe move will avoid him. He's impossible to kill when in blade ball form, so wait til he stops and opens up again. Hit him with raptor launcher missles.

Go to the back wall first and clean-out all the crates. Now go find the gelanator pump. Fill your gelanator. Go to the right and find the pad with the gel symbol. Squirt 2 gel cubes and bounce up to the first ledge. Use the gelanator again and bounce up to the top ledge. Jump cross the platforms to the back catwalk. Use the gelanator again and bounce to the moving platform. Use your Thruster-Pack to align and make a soft landing. Glide to the lower catwalk.

Go to the end of the catwalk and squirt 2 gel cubes on the right. Super bounce up to the last platform. Drain the gelanator into the tank. This releases the hangar door. Walk outside to the balcony. Look down to the open area and you'll see 3 Kerchu cyclone sentries patrolling. Glide down to the left of the storage tank [X]. Walk along the back catwalk. Grab gold bolt #16. Walk out along the catwalk to the open area. Go play with the Kerchu sentry.

After you're done bullfighting with the Kerchu (especially if you get them to crash into each other), light-up the 3 light sensor pads to activate a transport pad to the dock out by the water. Jump to the moving pad then to the dock. Nudge the detonator crates to suck-up the bolts. There are 2 moving pads out over the open water. The building on the island is the Lombax Testing Lab. Jump to the moving pads and ride over to the far island. Use the decryptor.

The decryptor puzzle is more complex again (notice a pattern?). The spark can travel down 2 different circuits depending on where you freeze the metal ball. Freeze the metal ball across contact [1]. Use the zix axis controller and maneuver the ball down to contact [2] before the spark gets there. When the sparks bridges, quickly roll up to contact [3] and hold it til the spark passes. The door to the facility opens.

Not much going on inside. Whetever was here, is now gone? The door closes behind you. You're trapped!. 2 Kerchu pyroguards start to attack. Load the nano-swarmer and toss a beacon between the 2 Kerchu. The laser stingers will distract the Kerchu from barbecuing you alive, just long enough to fire a few raptor launcher missles and destroy them. Kerchu cyclone sentries jumpin to compound matters. Use a Mr.Zurkon device, to even up the battle.

Once everything calms down, clean-up all the bolts. There doesn't look to be a way out. Look along the wall. Up on the circular terraces, there's a glow of a new weapon? Maybe they did leave something behind! Go the edge of the wall on the left and super jump to grab the ledge. Pull up. Use your wrench and turn the bolt crank to open the door where you came in. Once that's locked in place, jump over to the center terrace and pick-up your new Alpha Disruptor.

The alpha disruptor is one bad ass weapon! This rifle fires isokinetic energy beams in charged quantum bursts. Gotta love Lombax technology. Hold down [circle] to charge the rifle. There will be an energy aura build-up around you. Release [circle] to fire (discharge). The destruction path is intense and complete. One charge will kill most biologicals. Bad news? only 4 charge capacity until you upgrade.

Leave the testing facility. Go back across the water using the moving dock pads. Time to go explore the rest of the planet.
