Walk into the space station. Security forces are alerted that there's an intruder. Ratchet is amazed that this is a huge terrarium. Go to the right first into the space pod and clean out the bolts. Security bots come through the far door. Take them down with your lightning ravager or combutser. Go through the next set of doors and clean out the crates in the next pod. Opening the next door presents a problem. There are pop-up cannon turrets that detect you.

Dodge the cannon fire as best you can and take down the turret. 2 fusion grenades will do the trick. Down the next hallway more trouble. Opening the door into the larger gallery room, starts 4 cannon turrets. They don't all start at once. Hit each one with 2 fusion grenades and work your way around the room, avoiding cannon spray as best you can. Scoop up all the bolts after you're done. There are nanotech crates to help restore your health, so don't worry.

Go through the doors on the right to the large mechanical room. More security bots teleport into the room. Whip them all with your lightning ravager or try throwing a few plasma beasts around the room. As the bots get close, the gel beasts engage them. Around the perimeter of the room are stacks of crates. Whacking the steam pipes will also yield bolts. Clean out the room then turn the bolt crank in the floor to open the hatch to the water system.

Dive down into the tunnel. There are lots of proximity mines bobbing up and down. You don't need to nudge these mines to set them off. Use Clank's hydra-pack to stay clear. Swim to the pond and go left. Swim down to the bottom. Open the raritanium chest and suck up the crystals. Go to the right of the pool and jump out onto the ledge. It may be hard to see because everything is dark green, but the path is there.

Walk up the terraces SLOWLY. There are several cannon turrets that pop-up. Use your fusion grenades or wrench to take them out. Take out the cannon turret to the left of the stairs then jump to the concrete railing. A swarm of security bots come out from the building and down the stairs. Oddly enough, they can't jump and don't have weapons, so they just hover and wait. Confuzler gas didn't work on them (darn) but 3 fusion grenades did the trick.

DEVICE STRATEGY: It looks like some of the devices work only on biological enemies. Confuzler gas and leech bombs have no effect on synthetic bots.

Slip past the sweeper laser beams into the building. Use the weapons vendor on the left if you need him. Whack the stacks of crates on the lower level. Watch for a hidden cannon turret. Beat it with your wrench. Walk up the stairs. Approach the door on the left. There are a series of 8 cannon turrets that react to your presence. Take down each cannon 1 at a time. Destroying the last turret opens the door. Go down to the lower level. Watch for the overhead cannon.

At the bottom, whack all the crates and go to the left. More turret cannons appear as you work your way down the tunnels. Eventually you end up in a giant terrarium room. The place is swarming with security bots. Best offence is to chase down a group of bots and have them huddle together to chase you. Use a groovitron orb to get them dancing. Whip them with your lightning ravager while they're distracted. Work your way down the terraces to the ladder.

Hop up the ladder to the top. Approach the next door. [movie sequence begins] Ratchet and Clank are trapped. The door won't open. Clank gets a vision and the Zoni appear out of nowhere. They give Clank a new power.. the Geo Laser. Ratchet asks Clank if he saw his imaginary friends again and Clank nods. Ratchet thinks Clank's finally gone crazy. Now to get familiar with Clank's new gadget. The Gadgetron Help Desk Voice relays the instructions for usage.

Jump down from the door and go right. Climb up the terraces. The Geo-Laser homing beacon will sound when you get close to a weak wall. Use the geo-laser [triangle] when the signal locks, and the screen pop-up tells you. Move the six axis controller to guide the path of the laser over the (X) targets as they appear. Completing the circuit will blast a hole in the wall and return gameplay to Ratchet. Climb up the rubble and go in the room.

[movie sequence begins] As Ratchet and Clank wander to the middle of the room, they're surrounded by 2 misfit robots. They both bump into each other and fall down as they try to capture Ratchet. This is Zephyr and Cronk. Turns out they were long-time loyal friends of Max Apogee. Ratchet then meets Talwyn Apogee. The daughter of famous explorer and research archaelogist historian, Max Apgoee.

Ratchet's never heard of this guy? She's dumbfounded! Then she finds out Ratchet is a Lombax, and doesn't know anything about the legacy and the secret weapon? Clank thinks it's ironic? Talwyn explains the situation and Clank says he overheard the smuggler talking about pirates having information about this device? Talwyn runs off with Zephyr and Cronk in a panic, and says to meet her on Ardolis.
