Kreeli Comet is a hostile environment. You're hurtling through space on this big icy asteroid. If you look to the sky, you can see the vapor trails of the comet. The ground surface is shiny, icy and narrow in spots. Go the Weapons Vendor first and buy the Pyro Blaster for 100,000 bolts. This weapon is great for sweeping across group of enemies quickly. Walk down the path to the first pirate ship. Whack all the icile outcrops (every single last one of them) along the way.

Morph into your pirate hologuise and walk up to the pirates. They'll leave you alone. Walk up to the Pirate Doorkeeper guarding the entrance portal to the ship. Convince the doorkeeper that you can dance. Do the pirate jig following the moves of the other pirates. Don't forget that SHAKE YOUR BOOTY means shaking the six axis controller in the air. The doorkeeper gives you a compliment and releases the portal.

Go back outside first. Morph back to Ratchet. Whack the flaming campfire pot WITH YOUR WRENCH (for a skill point later). NOW go and kill the pirates. Use your new Pyro Blaster or maybe the Lightning Ravager. Go up the ramp inside the pirate ship. Take down the 2 pirates and blow-up the gel fuel barrels behind them. Whack all the nearby crates and go left up the ramp into the cargo hold. Vaporize the pirates.

GAME GLITCH? In the cargo hold, you MAY encounter the Pirate Demolition Mech boss, or you may not? On one game save I did, on the other I didn't. You will face him either here in the cargo hold or on the deck of the second ship later on.

We'll assume you meet the Mech later. Torch all the gel fuel barrels around the perimeter and suck up all the bolts and raritanium (there's alot). Go to the circular platform and turn the bolt crank to elevate yourself to the deck level. Up top, more trouble. There's a pirate manning a cannon turret. He starts to fire as soon as he sees you and doesn't stop! Duck for cover behind one of the cargo crates. Stand back, toss 1-2 Fusion Bombs over the crates and take him out.

Once the turret goes quiet, walk out from behind the crates to the deck. 4 more pirates attack. Toss a Groovitron Orb to distract the pirates into dancing. I was thinking of shooting them with the cannon, but then decided to flame them with the Pyro Blaster. This earns you Skill Point 52: Disco Inferno (10 pts). I think this still has something to do with the skill Mow Down Hoedown? Suck up all the bolts and raritanium. Go to the left and find the grind rail.

Jump to the grind rail and follow it around. Don't jump. You want to knock all the icicles off the rail. Jump to the rail on the right then down to the next path. Load your Alpha Disruptor right away. A pirate way down at the end, sees you already and starts to fire the cannon turret. Nowhere to hide. If you can't get a lock-on target ring, zoom-aim the Disruptor [L1] charge the weapon [circle] and FIRE! Hopefully you can vaporize him in 1-2 shots. Walk up the path.

Hop across the small pedestal islands to the next path. Make sure you whack all the icicles and crates along the way. Keep your Alpha Disruptor loaded. Way at the end, another cannon turret, but it's still quiet. Wait for a pirate to man the turret and start to fire. NOW charge your Disruptor, find the target ring or zoom-aim, and fire. The turret will stay quiet for now. Walk up and whack the campfire pot first. Now load your Lightning Ravager and go to work.

Clean-out the area and whack all the crates and crystal icicles. On the next series of ledges, I chose to go with V5 Toxic Swarmers (cool green nanites). Toss a beacon on the first ledge. The laser stingers will seek out, freeze and explode any wandering pirate that may be trying to jump down or ambush you. Mr.Zurkon would also be a good choice. Jump up the ledges to the top. The treasure chest explodes. An electrified pirate sentry appears and he's dangerous. Let the little swarming nanites do their thing.

Find the rungs of the ladder on the side of the ship. Jump up the ladder to the railing. Follow the arrows and shimy along the railing to the left all the way around to the back of the ship. There will be an opening in the cargo netting where you can jump up to the deck. Up top, lots of activity. Jump up and quickly use a Groovitron Orb to distract the security into dancing. Fusion Bombs or Swarmers would be my choice. Make sure you clean up after. Morph to your hologuise.

Approach the Pirate Doorkeeper in disguise and do your pirate jig to get past. Once the door opens, we're faced with a closed room crawling with pirates. Perfect venue to use Buzz Blades or V5 Doom Blades. Take out the gel fuel barrels first, then look for a lock-on target inside and unload the weapon. The ricocheting blades will keep them busy for awhile. Finish off any wandering pirates and clean out the room. Go out through the left doorway. There's a mag ramp leading down and across 3 cannons (which are firing).

Stand at the left corner of the mag ramp and look down. There's another icy ledge down below. Jump and use your Thrusters to glide down to the lower ledge. There's another pirate portal to go back into the ship. Walk down the path. Look for overhead versa-targets. Use your swingshot and tarzan across to the next icy ledge. Whack the crates and pick-up holo-plan piece 7/13. Use your swingshot to cross to the far ledge.

Whack all the crystal icicles and crates then use the swingshot to get back to the pirate ship. There are 2 gun pirates blocking your way. Use raptor launcher missles from a distance and kill em. Morph into your pirate hologuise and go to the Doorkeeper. Do your pirate jig and open the door. Inside, a treasure of goodies. Whack the crates for tons of raritanium and bolts. Grab gold bolt #20 (only one for this level). |

Use your wrench and turn the bolt crank in the floor to elevate the platform to the upper deck. NOW you're gonna face the Pirate Demolition Mech. His thing is rolling huge steel balls. Toss a Toxic Swarmer beacon right near him. Let the laser stingers go to work. Avoid the steel balls as he tosses them. Use any weapon to soften him up. You can watch his healh meter go down in the lower right hand corner. Collect the raritanium when he explodes. Walk out to the teleport pad right past the gel fuel barrels.

From here, you have the option to teleport back to your starship. You do have a Weapons Vendor nearby, so there's really no need for the teleport, unless this is your 2nd time through and all you wanted was the gold bolt or holo-plan piece?
