After fighting the Leviathan, Ratchet walks out to the Spaceport area of the planet. In the distance, is the giant Gelatonium Plant which isn't running right now. Walk down to the space decks. Take down all the annoying workbots and whack all the nearby crates. Don't go up to the smuggler just yet. Go back down to the first deck and approach the funny looking hoverbot. This is a Gadgetron Weapon Vendor. Use [triangle]. Here you buy weapons, ammo & upgrades.

The first icon on the menu is for buying weapons. The Buy Weapon Menu displays only those weapons that are currently available to buy and how many bolts they will cost. Your current bolt inventory is at the bottom. I strongly suggest you buy any new weapon when you can comfortably afford it. Don't use ALL your bolts, because you need 1,000-2,000 bolts in reserve for reloads. All weapons bought are version 1. The screen shows ammo limit, damage power and the quick select icon for your arsenal.

The middle icon is ammo reload. Pressing this button will reload ALL your weapons that have less than 100 percent. Oddly enough, when you leave the vendor, Rathet's Nanotech health is also restored to 100 percent (small surcharge). The right icon is for weapon upgrades. Here you trade-in your raritanium for weapon mods. Each hex (refit) costs a set amount of crystals. Use up alll your raritanium when you get the chance. The last upgrade [?] is a secret powerful mod.

Once your finished with the vendor, walk up the space decks to the top platform. Approach the smuggler and his pet bird. [movie sequence] This guy is a shady character at best and not to be trusted with your life. The smuggler has a problem. He needs to get the Gelatonium Plant running so he can get fuel for his ship. Ratchet and clank need a ride. So.. Ratchet will go get the power running in exchange for a lift.

The smuggler tosses you a new [gadget] named the Gelanator. Gadgets cannot be upgraded or moded, but do come in handy for special assignments. Use [quick select] and put your gadgets in the second page of your arsenal for easy access. Go inside the plant and find the gel resevoir tank at the back. Fill the Gelanator. Filling the Gelanator opens the portal to the plant. Go inside. Go right, to the neon arrows.

This is a strange but cool gadget. Look for the target ring and fire [R1]. The gun ejects a cube of wiggly gel that sets up right away and lasts for about 10 seconds. Jump to the top of the gel and use [X] to jump. The gel cube gives you a high elastic jump, more than normal, allowing Ratchet to reach the ledge. The more gel you use (2-3 squirts) the higher the jump you can achieve. Climb up the ledges. Whack all the crates.

To cross the gel pool shoot a gel cube into the pool. Jump to the gel cube. Shoot another gel cube in front of you and bounce to the far platform. There are 3 janitor workbots patrolling the platform. They hate to see wasted gel. If you shoot a gel cube, they'll come and devour it til it's gone. So. if you want to climb, you can do 2 things. Either shoot a gel cube away from the area and distract the workbots, or encase them in a gel cube. The key is to buy time.

Go to the left first to the end of the platform. Squirt 2 gel cubes and bounce to the upper platform. Hop along the back wall ledges and collect the raritanium in the treasure chests at the far end of the catwalk. Use Clank's Heli-Pack to glide back down to the platform where you just were. Squirt 2 gel cubes and bounce to the upper room. Walk up the magnetic ramp to the top and turn the bolt crank. Clank has now activated 50% power to the plant. The plant intercom announces that Tachyon will not be amused.

In the next open room, there's a gel waterfall (like a sewer collection basin). Whack all the crates and go to the right. Fire a gel cube to the right of the platform and quickly jump and bounce to the upper platform before the river current pulls you and the gel, over the edge. Do the same thing to get to the top level. Squirt a gel cube to the far wall on the right. Jump to the gel cube. Squirt another gel cube to the right and jump across the moving river to the far platform.

Jumping/riding over the waterfalls in BOTH areas of the Gelatonium plant, will earn you the Skill Point 2: I Should Have Gone Down In A Barrel (10 points).

In the next room, whack all the crates (and there are lots) and take care of the critters. Turn the bolt crank on the floor to re-position the mag ramp. Walk up the ramp. Turn the bolt crank up top, to restore full power to the plant. Emporer Tachyon will be most displeased. Use the Heli-Pack and glide over to the uppper platform for more bolts. Use the gelanator to distract or cubify the janitor workbots. Squirt 2 gel cubes and bounce up to the exit. Drain the gelanator.

As you ride down the glass elevator back down to the Spaceport, make note of the gold bolt hovering on the upper platform. We're going to go get it now.
