After completing the shadow puzzle, Ratchet will have to fight off waves of pirates. They are hiding on the upper ledges and come in groups of 4. Use your strafe move often, and look to the recharge ammo crates that pop up from time to time. Best weapon is the combuster (which now is at V5) or nano-swarmer beacons. I found you could tackle more enemies by using a nano swarmer and combuster at the same time.

Each wave of pirates will get tougher and tougher. WATCH YOUR HEALTH! Eventually you'll confront another mech spider tank. Toss a nano-swarmer beacon and let it home-in on the tank. Run behind cover then toss another nanoswarme beacon around the other side. Now you have 2 beacons wearing down the tank. Use your combuster to wear him down further. Eventually, he explodes into a million pieces.

Everything goes quiet and the door to the treasure room opens. Walk inside. [cut scene] Talwyn and Ratchet look to the center of the room and see the Fulcrum Star on a pedestal. Ratchet runs up to grab the star but it's a trap. Just as he is about to grab it, the floor beneath him gives away and he falls into a deep pit. Slag catches the star in his hand.

Captain Slag and Rusty Pete were waiting all this time for Ratchet to show up. They knew he'd crack the secret where Darkwater hid the Fulcrum Star and it was just a matter of time before he could reclaim his prize possession. Slag heartily laughs... We'll take your little friend, Talwyn along with us, while you die in the caverns as a snack for the Pythors.
