The last area to explore on this desert planet is down in the canyon. Hopefully, you have found and cashed-in a few crystals with the mystic. Go to the MegaCorp kiosk and load up. It's strongly advised that you buy the Synthenoid robot sentry, if you can afford the 65,000 bolts. Go through the doorway to the building next to the drawbridge. Whack all the equipment inside, for lots of bolts. Load the Synthenoids and go out the other side of the building.
The Synthenoid robot sentries will start firing down the path. The path slopes downward, so it's hard for Ratchet to see what's up ahead. Point the screen camera down, while you walk. Up ahead are several dinosaur crawlers. Your Synthenoids are taking care of them for you. Load the Tesla Claw as back-up. It will take several shots from the Synthenoids for the dinosaur crawlers to go down (they are not that powerful), so you can help-out by finishing off with a zap from the claw.
Be aware that Synthenoids do burn-up after a short while. They only have a limited number of shots. Enemy fire can also burn them up. Ratchet has 12 available, fully-loaded, and they do come out 4 at a time. If you are down to 2, you can recharge back up to 4. Clean-out the cave tunnel at the bottom and walk to the water pool. Load the Thermanator and freeze the water. Skate over to the right, jump and climb-up to the next tunnel section. Your Synthenoids will be kept busy, taking down a swarm of sandflies, up top.
Don't forget to whack the crates to the left, on the platform. Jump to the first floating block in the next water pool. Notice that the block starts to sink and the far block rises out of the water. This is like a set of stairs. While standing on the block, freeze the water. This now sets the blocks into the stair position. Jump up the blocks, then heli-jump and grab the ledge and pull-up to the next area. Load the Heavy Lancer and help your Synthenoids wipe-out all the dinosaur crawlers.
Before going on to the waterfalls, turn around and go back to the floating blocks. Up on the left wall, there's a round portal. Jump to the blocks, load the Thermanator and thaw the ice. Reverse the stairs so the far block is up in the air. Now freeze the water, to set the blocks. Jump to the highest block. We can see a familiar glow inside the portal. Jump to the portal, grab the ledge and pull-up. Go and grab the platinum bolt. Reverse the freeze again and go to the waterfalls.

The waterfalls took me awhile to figure out. Brain freeze?? Load the Thermanator and freeze the pool of water. This will freeze the waterfalls. Ratchet can power-jump between the 2 ice columns up to the high platform. Up top, load the Heavy Lancer or Blitz Gun and help your Synthenoids blast the dinosaur crawlers that are in very close range. Whack all the nearby crates (big bolt money) and the Nanotech health cube.
If your Synthenoids start to burn-up, don't bother recharging them now. We won't need them soon. At the end of the tunnel, we come to the canyon cliff. The tunnel continues down below on the other side. Heli-glide down across the canyon to the entrance. Load the Mini-nuke and toss one grenade between the 2 crawlers, up ahead. This will stop them dead in their tracks. Up ahead, Ratchet sees the glow of a new toy! This is the Momentum Glider. Very cool flying machine!
As the caption says, stand on the small runway with the arrows, and hit [X]. Ratchet jumps into the sky and the momentum glider unfolds in mid-air. The controls are simple. The left analog stick controls the up-down-left-right. There is no turbo boost or braking, just like a real hang glider. Be careful not to go into a steep climb or a steep turn. The gilder does have its physical limits and will stall at the top of a climb or collpase into the ground, after a crash into a solid object.
The glider course is simple. Just steer through the rings in the canyon walls and avoid hitting any of the the energy towers. In the back half of the canyon, one energy tower has a Nanotech boost station at the very top. It will take a stretch climb to get it, without stalling. Should you fall, you start over at the cave balcony. The reward for finishing, is a platinum bolt waiting in a dark cave. The teleport pad will take you back to your spaceship. All missions complete.
