Going Commando

Planet Tabora

After completing the missions on Siberius, Ratchet & Clank want to deliver the proto-pet to Fizzwidget.

Planet Tabora 1 Movie sequence continues. Fizzwidget arrives on Tabora and promptly flattens Ratchet's Star Explorer spaceship while he lands. He says not to worry, it's insured... ok? This is not good! Ratchet & Clank hop into Fizzwidget's ship and get their butts ejected by Fizzwidget. Ratchet & Clank end up inside a cave deep in the desert planet.

Planet Tabora 2 Our first mission is try and find a way out of here. Load up on your goodies at the MegaCorp kiosk and then whack all the nearby crates. Up ahead are some funny-looking dog-like dinosaur crawlers. These guys are tough and like to spray posion. Keep your distance and don't let them run up to you. Load the mini-nuke and toss a grenade between the 2 of them. I love the power of this weapon! Clean-up the mess and walk down the cave to the lava river. DON'T CROSS!!

Planet Tabora 3 There are several dinosaur crawlers up ahead and to make matters worse, a hive generator behind them, making more. Load the mini-nuke and fire 2 grenades into the pack. While the dust clears, quickly load the pulse rifle zoom-in and target the hive generator. Blast it to pieces with one clean shot. Jump over the river to the cave and clean-up the rest of the crawlers with your trusty wrench. Whack all the nearby crates and grab the Nanotech health cube.

Planet Tabora 4 Climb up the ledge to the next cave tunnel. Whack the crates on the left for bolts and some ammo. Load the tesla claw. There are several sandflies flying around. Zap them as they come close. Up ahead, there's a hive generator spitting out more and more sandflies. Load the pulse rifle or mini-nuke and take-out the hive. Clean-up the area. Watch-out for the lava rivers crossing the big cave area. Good news is the dinosaur crawlers can't get at you. I love easy targets.

Planet Tabora 5 Load the mini-nuke. You should still have a few grenades left. Fire one grenade right near the hive generator on the right. This should also take-out a few crawlers with one blast. Fire a second grenade at the rest of the crawlers. Jump over the lava river and collect all the bolts. Now focus on the other section. Same thing. Fire a grenade at the hive and then take care of the crawlers. Jump over the river, clean-up the bolts then go out the exit. Whack all the nearby crates.

Planet Tabora 6 This next canyon section looks scarey, but it's not that bad. Heli-jump from pedestal island to island. To get to the last 3, heli-power-jump then grab the edge of the pedestal and pull up. Load the seeker gun and peg the one lonely crawler walking around up top, on the last pedestal. Jump to the opening of the next large cave.

Planet Tabora 7 Hmmm.... Some interesting stuff up ahead. 2 glass canisters in the floor? Walk-up. Movie sequence begins. Clank reads the instructions on the glass jar, and it says to break jar with rock and then take rock and break other jar. Ratchet is impatient and whacks the glass, while Clank is reading. WOW! A new Carbonox UltraWrench 8500. Didn't have to pay any bolts to get it? You know this means that the enemies are going to get alot tougher, if we need a new more powerful wrench.

Planet Tabora 8 Don't forget to whack all the crates first, including the Nanotech health cube, then load-up at the kiosk. Move out into the next cave. Load the seeker gun and take care of any wandering dinosaur crawlers. Up ahead is a very big bright cave crowded with hives and dinosaur crawlers. The ramp around the cave winds first to the right then up to the left. The exit to the cave is way up top on the left. Fire seeker drones as you go and the first hive with the pulse rifle.

Planet Tabora 9 As Ratchet walks up the ramp at the back of the cave, we turn our eyes on the hordes of dinsoaur crawlers up ahead. We need some big-time firepower! Load the mini-nuke and fire grenades as you work your way up the ramp. Don't worry about running out of ammo. There a couple of ammo crates in the stack of crates up on the left. Go all the way to the end of the ramp and then go right. There are more crawlers and sandflies in the cave tunnel. Peg 'em all.

Planet Tabora 10 Up ahead is a wide lava lake. There's a versa-target spinning near the roof of the cave. This is a swingshot move to get to the far ledge. But, there are several crawlers up there. Why take a chance and swingshot into an ambush? Load the seeker gun and fire a few drones across the canyon. They'll find their way and dive-in on the crawlers. The pulse rifle also works really well here. Now load the swingshot and tarzan across to the other side. Heli-glide down to the ridge.

Planet Tabora 11 The next cave tunnel looked strange. What's down at the bottom? The floor is covered with lava but we can't land anywhere. This is a leap of faith! Zap the versa-target with the swingshot and swing up as high as you can go. Let go and immediately heli-glide forward and down the tunnel. To the left, a beach will come into view at the bottom. You should have just enough height to land there. It looks like we found daylight.

Planet Tabora 12 Walk into the open area to the TV monitor on the wall on the left. Movie sequence begins.. The thief comes crashing down in his space-pod and starts to curse at Ratchet yet again. As he falls off the ship, we find out that the thief is really a SHE?? And a cute little fox-relative like Ratchet? Could this be? Ratchet may have a new love interest? Her name is Angela and she explains the whole proto-pet situation and how she worked for MegaCorp and needs to destroy that thing?

Planet Tabora 13 Ratchet is all too apologetic and agrees to help her. They decide to meet up later, once she gets more information and tracks where Fizzwidget has gone. Clank gets the co-ordinates for the Testing Facility on Planet Dobbo. After all is said and done, take the hoverpad elevator at the back, up to the surface. We are now in the desert. SAVE GAME! First 2 missions done. Bringing Fizzwidget the proto-pet, was one of those missions.
