Our next mission is to explore the other swamp area and find the entrance to the store (that big building). Our friend the inventor, has been captured by the local mutants and is being tossed around like a toy. You can hear him screaming and hollering every once in awhile. Right by Ratchet's ship, is the MegaCorp vendor kiosk. This is where we buy all our goodies, like new wepaons and ammo. Hopefully, you'll have over 5,000 bolts and can buy the chopper. Load up!

Walk down the slope towards the swamp. Load the gravity bomb and approach slowly. When you get lots of slugs and snails milling around, toss a bomb right in the middle of them. Clean-up any left-overs with the lancer or your wrench. Whack the crates off to the right. There's a Nanotech health sphere, should you need it. Jump over the lily pads to the next open area. Take down the fireflies, one by one, as they swoop down. You can hear the inventor being tortured.

Walk across the next section using the glass dock platforms. Make sure your weapon is loaded as you land on solid ground. A number of snails will jump out of the swamp to ambush you. Load the gravity bomb. The blast will make short work of any mutants. Off to the left, over the tree trunk, there's a horde of slugs surrounding the inventor. You can hear him yelling. Toss a grenade into the area. All the slugs will vaporize. Jump across the next set of lily pads, but go slowly. Lots of mutants will come out to greet you.

The next area is a narrow canyon. Enemies everywhere! Load the chopper. Fire 3-4 boomerang saw-blades down the canyon. They will ricochet off the walls and target on any nearby enemy. They'll take 2-3 swipes before they disintegrate. Much more fun, to watch your weapons do their thing. If the area is reasonably cleaned-out, load the gravity bomb or lancer and take down any stray slugs or snails. Whack all the crates and pole lights along the way.

Run across the glass dock platforms to the far archway in the stone wall. Take down the slugs and snails in your way. Note, that there's a turtle now in the swamp to the right, way over by the area we first went through. He wasn't there before??? Remember that for later. Jump up the steps through the archway. Whack all the crates and pole lamps. Walk down the slope to the next open swamp area and load the gravity bomb. Wait for the ambush and fire away.

Jump over the next set of lily pads and look what's happening up ahead. Some large swamp octopus has the inventor in it's grip. The octopus is swinging him from left to right. He's screaming to be saved. This will be our first boss level fight. As you jump to solid ground, the health meter for the octopus activates at the bottom. Give him everything you got. Watch-out for the tentacles as it tries to slam you into the ground with it's long reach. Dodge them as best you can.

After you've survived the fight, jump to the path and walk up to the building entrance area. Don't forget to whack all the pole lights as you go. Off to the left there's a new weapon or gadget, glowing on a transporter pedestal. Go up top and grab the dynamo. The MegaCorp HelpDesk voice will tell you how the gadget works. Basically, it's an electrical bolt that starts a rotating gyro, activating a nearby holographic platform, elevator pad or walkway. It's not permanent. The effects are very-short lived and only last a few seconds.

Load the dynamo and fire at the spheres next to the wall. A lift-pad appears. It's transparent green, meaning a holographic projection. Jump on the pad, right away, before it starts to lift, up to the high walkway. Once the spheres stop, the pad will disappear. This would be good time to load up on ammo. Worst case, back-track to the ship and load up at the nearby MegaCorp Kiosk. You will want to have maximum ammo for the next section inside the store. Mission completed.
