Maktar Nebula 18 Welcome to the jamming array. We're wayout in space on a man-made planetoid that has its own gravity. This is a small place and because its spherical, movement may feel a little weird (always walking uphill)? Our mission is to destroy 6 signal transponders that the Thugs have deployed, to mess-up the Pay-TV transmission of Galactic Gladiators. I think they wanted to extort some serious money out of Fizzwidget? The active transponders have glowing orange spotlights.

Maktar Nebula 19 Use [select] to see the map. This is amazing!! You have never seen anything like this before anywhere! This is a gaming software first. An entire spherical world that can be rotated and turned in any direction and is completely intact and 100% navigational. The map zooms out and shows you what's where. When you hit [select] again, the sphere rotates back to your location and zooms back into gameplay at your current position. Refer to this often. It will help you find your way through the maze of towers.

Maktar Nebula 20 Nearby to each transponder, there' a floor grate with a turnscrew. Use Ratchet's wrench to turn the screw. When the screw releases and locks, the transponder power coil will push-out from its protective shield and lock above ground. Load any weapon and blast the energy coil. The tower will detonate and self-destruct. Interesting to note that gravity works on your weapon fire too. The plasma bullets will curve with the gravity, so aim a little higher than the target. Very cool!

Maktar Nebula 21 To make things interesting, some of the transponder turnscrews are way up in service towers next to the transponder towers. To get there, we need to use these power pads. They're small vents with arrows on them. Just stand on the vent, press [X] and hang-on! To find them, follow the power cables. Ratchet gets hurled into space and then gravity takes effect and brings him back down. Use your left joystick to control forward and lateral direction for where you land.

EXTRA HINT: Load your weapon BEFORE you jump on the power pad. The weapon will stay loaded on standby while you jump. When you land all you have to do is fire.

Maktar Nebula 22 Near one of the upper transponder towers, there are square hover platforms floating between the towers. They're a little wobbly but won't move too much. Use them to lock and load your weapon before you jump to the turn-screw tower. The only bolts you get on this planetoid are from the security robots. There is nothing to whack or vandalize. After Ratchet finishes destroying the last transponder, Ratchet relays the message back to Fizzwidget and is automatically transported back to Maktar. Mission complete.

Return Visit

Maktar Nebula 42 Once Ratchet has Clank with him again, come back to the planetoid for a second visit. Jump on the roof of the space limo. Near the back, there's a short tower platform not too far away. Heli-jump and glide over to the platform. On that platform is a turbo power vent. Jump on the power vent. There's a platinum bolt suspended out in space. If you miss it, use the map to see its location. Grab the bolt (or run into it) and then head home. NOTE Ratchet's MEN IN BLACK TUX OUTFIT ? You can get the cheat code later after 10 skill points.
