There doesn't appear to be too many options on this planet. Walk down the ramp from the shuttle docking area down to the snowfields. On the left is a funny obelisk with rotating ice spheres. The mystic is hanging out, meditating. The entrance to the mine shaft section is blocked by a large ice boulder. The mystic will unblock the entrance in exchange for 9 moonstones.

This planet is infested with YETI ! Large polar bear mutants that pack a nasty bite and are hard to take down. As Ratchet walks across the snow, YETI pop out from the snow and attack. You can hear them coming as they growl and track through the snow. Load the Shield Charger + Killinoids + Megarocket Cannon. Even with your Killinoids firing, each YETI will take at least 1 rocket missle each. The bolts they give up are not worth the effort, so they are more of a pest.

Go to your [items] menu and activate Ratchet's Charge Boots. This will make life alot easier moving across the snowfields, and will let you get away from any hordes of YETI at high speed. The moonstones are rooted in ice outcrops and 2-3 good whacks with your trusty wrench will free the crystals. Your moonstone inventory is displayed in the lower left corner of the screen. Our first task is to get 9 stones and trade them with the mystic. Scattered across the snowfields are small ice-pools. BE VERY CAREFUL AS YOU APPROACH!

The snow cover breaks away and out comes a large Leviathan serpent that rises high above the ground. There is no way to attack this beast from close range. To make matters worse, the Leviathan has a dragon ice breath that'll knock-out the Shield Charger with one hit. Load the Vaporizer or Megarocket Cannon and use the zoom auto-aim from a distance. Fire 4-5 shots right on the mark. He coughs up a moonstone when he withers away into the ice.

In the immediate area, there are only 14 moonstones available. The map shows there is more area to explore, but we can't get near it for some reason. Go back to the mystic and trade 9 moonstones for him to remove the boulder. We definitely don't have access right now, to enough moonstones to trade for the hypnomatic part, so it's time to explore the mining area. We'll be back.

After finishing the mining complex and returning to ground level, Ratchet has opened up the frontier ice wasteland, by activating a series of ice bridges. This is going to be interesting. Before going out into the wasteland, return to the MegaCorp kiosk up by the shuttle docking pad. Whack the ammo crates on the steel platform deck first, before buying any ammo. No point wasting bolts? Once you're armed and ready, return to the ice field and zoom across the snow to the nearest bridge, using your Charge Boots.

COMBAT STRATEGY: At this point, don't engage any YETI that are NOT protecting a moonstone. It's not worth the ammo, trying to win the small group battles, slaying all the YETI. They don't give enough bolts for the aggravation and injury.

Climb up over 1 of the 3 access bridges and go exploring. Keep your guard up at all times. There are lots of YETI and more than a handful of Leviathans to deal with. Ratchet will probably die several times because the battles are just too extreme and the ammo supply is just not good enough to pick-up all the moonstones in 1 or 2 trips. Refer to your aerial map often, and go section by section. Go back to the mystic and exchange 16 moonstones for a hypnomatic part.

In one of the ice canyons, between 2 ridges, you'll discover a platinum bolt. It's hidden from plain sight, but it's there. Of course, the nearby YETI are going to make you pay for venturing too close. Each moonstone from here on in, can be exchanged with the mystic for 3,000 bolts. There are 100 moonstones in all to get, 25 have already been used up. This adds up to a whopping 225,000 bolts, if you have the patience. That can buy alot of weaponry or maybe a great down payment on the Gadgetron RYNO2 on Planet Barlow?

The mystic will let you know exactly how many moonstones are still left, once you've made an exchange. After collecting all 100, you'll be awarded the Be A Moon Child skill point. In the other factory area, Ratchet needs all the parts of the hypnomatic assembled, to cross the chasm. Unfortunately, we can't do that just yet, so it's off to Planet Damosel to find the other missing part and then to get it assembled. We'll come back later. All missions complete for now.
