Once you've grabbed the swingshot from Clank's apartment on Planet Endako, you can now explore this new area. From the star explorer launch pad, go up the ramp to the back. Load the swingshot. Traverse across the 2 single versa-targets to the left, to a small rock ledge. Load the heavy lancer and take out the satellite dish. Turn right, and traverse across the next single versa-targets to the rock pedestal island.

Up ahead is a blue versa-target on a hover platform. Using the swingshot, pull the platform towards you. Once it's close, quickly jump to the platform. Within a few seconds, it will hover back to the other rock pedestal island. Jump off, turn left and watch the carousel. Jump to any one of the platforms attached to the carousel. It will stop every 5 seconds, as it resets the armatures. Take the platform around to the other side. Jump off and heli-glide to the open courtyard.

Load the tesla claw or any other rapid-fire weapon like the blitz gun or mini-nuke. There's lots of puppies running around, especially to the right where you can't quite see yet. Fire away and take care of the puppy mill. Whack the crates in the corner. There aren't that many crates along the way, in this section, so each one is worth mega-bolts! They are 200-300 bolts on average. Go out the other side and load the swingshot. Grab the blue versa-target and pull the hover platform over to the courtyard. Ride across.

Jump off and go inside the building. Time to go swimming. Ratchet has his turbo swim gear already attached. Swim down through the tunnel and surface on the other side. Climb out and go out the archway to the next carrousel.
Platinum Bolt diversion: Walk around to the left of the small balcony. There is a small ridge along the wall that Ratchet can just grab. Jump and grab the ridge. Shimy around to the back of the building to a ledge. Swingshot across to the carousel and then into the cave. Watch-out for puppies. The platinum bolt is deep in the cave.

Backtrack to the balcony once you have the platinum bolt. Jump to the carousel and load the swingshot. As the carousel platform stops way-out over the canyon, grapple and swing across the 3 versa-targets to the building inside the rock face. Swim down through the tunnel again and up to the surface on the other side. Jump out to the balcony. The game will mark/reset here as a continue point. This next part is trickey.

Ratchet has to swing across these 6 versa-targets all the way to a carousel out in the middle of nowhere. The problem is that you cannot hang onto a versa-target, so when you reach the end, you better hope there's a platform under you that you can heli-glide to. Wait til the platforms are in motion. Swing across, one by one, making sure you have a nice line and rhythm. When you reach the end, heli-glide over to the nearest platform. If you have to, grab an edge and pull-up.

As Ratchet stands on the platform while the carousel turns, you'll see a hover platform up ahead with a blue versa-target. Turn Ratchet to face away from the carousel. This will be a blind swingshot grapple. Execute the swingshot before the carousel stops. The platform will move towards you and you'll have to jump just before the carousel turns again. The hover platform will rebound back to the next open courtyard. Take care of the puppies and of course the crates!!

Stand at the very edge of the courtyard, facing the tall building. Load the swingshot again and traverse the 2 targets til you land by the front entrance. Whack all the nearby crates and go inside. Up ahead is some guy, frozen in a block of ice. Go up to him and whack the ice. Movie sequence begins. Mission complete. Now we find out about a new (low tech) Gadgetron gadget!
