Phylax Gamma is on its own in the middle of space between 2 smaller asteroid fields. On the way, you'll pass the Phylax Depot Asteroid. We'll go there shortly. Gamma Moon is a red giant meaning a molten lava surface. Approach the planet. Wait for the gravity pulse tractor wave to catch Aphelion [triangle] and land on the moon. Hop out. Because the surface is molten lava, you'll have to stick to platforms.

Make your way across to the first large platform. Load Mr.Zurkon. He'll take out the plasma containment jars while you work on the hoverbots. Clean-up the platform and move on to the hover platforms. Follow the sequence as the hover platforms move in and out. WARNING! You don't have hoverboots OR a Heli-Pack (from Clank), so you can't jump as far as you think. Make your way to the next platform.

Take down the hoverbots and let Mr.Zurkon clean up the containment jars. Suck up all the bolts and ammo and health. Make your way to the next hover platform series. These will get a little more complciated. To make matters worse, watch for the shooting lava balls popping up from the surface. You'll have to avoid them as best you can. Navigate your way across all the hover sequences to the next platform.

Get rid of the hoverbots and containment jars. Walk to the wheel winch. Pull on the wheel winch [square] and lower the hover platforms up ahead. They will form a set of stairs when complete. Jump up the hover stairs and navigate across the last set of moving hover platforms. Jump down to the small islands. Hop across to the larger island.

Run up and with your wrench, grab Zoni 6/40. Whack all the crates and look for the meteor pad on the left side of the large island. Stand on the pad, hit [X] and catapult back to the landing pad, next to Aphelion. Something magical happens to Aphelion as you enter. Aphelion gets her first upgrade [Thrustmaster 500 Afterburners]. Cool! Hop in and leave the moon. NOTE: Aphelion upgrades are automatically installed.
