Great Clock Sector 2


Great Clock Sector2 1 MEANWHILE!! [movie sequence begins] Back inside the Great Clock, Clank is lying on the floor. He is motionless. The Junior Caretaker comes into the room and starts to repair Clank. He works diligently and quickly, using among other things... a screwdriver. Clank opens his eyes and regains consciousness. He stands up.

Great Clock Sector2 2 [movie continues] The Junior Caretaker is shocked that he's awake and is clearly frightened. "Hello! I'm sorry! I was tyring to help? Back up! Don't make me use force" He quickly swaps out the screwdriver Clank is holding, with a banana, and then he shows off his various ninja fighting moves. Clank now remembers who he is "You are the robot you assisted me in my escape from Nefarious? What is your name?"

Great Clock Sector2 3 [movie continues] The Caretakes replies "My Name.. of course.. Sigma 0426A. You can call me Sigmund. I'm Junior Caretaker here at the Great Clock!" Clank's confused "Forgive me, but what is the Great Clock?".. Sigmund has a fit! "Oh no.. We're late! Come on. We don't have a lot of time.. Figuratively speaking of course?"

Great Clock Sector2 4 Time to go exploring. Follow Sigmund up the stairs and out to the first terrace. Clank is curious "Where is everyone?" Sigmund replies "Not really sure? Nefraious and his gang just jumped ship after that butler guy left you in the hall" Whack all the crates on your way out. Look for the meteor pad. Stand on the pad and catapult over to the next terrace. Sigmund flies up ahead as he tries to catch the Hypersonic Brainwave Scrambler.

Great Clock Sector2 5 The Brainwave Scrambler is making a mess of things and is destroying or breaking objects as it bumps into sections of the terrace. Use your Heli-pack and jump across the gap [3 hops X+X+X] to the glass walkway. Whack all the crates on the next terrace and then climb up the hover platforms like a set of stairs. Use your heli-pack to make the long jumps up. Walk up to Sigmund who is trying to get into the chamber. He's arguing with the central computer.

Great Clock Sector2 6 We finally get access to the room, once the computer probes the doorway and sees it's Clank. You both gain entry to Paradox Substation 1. Sigmund explains the temporal recording pads. "While you were unconscious, I took the liberty of installing a quantum actuator into your circuitry. It allows you to create mutliple selves! That's right! How else would we get anything done around here? Time pads can be a little trickey. Let me show you how they work."

Great Clock Sector2 7 Without trying to explain this in too much detail, I'll try to sum it up as best I can. Watch Sigmund. He goes on the blue pad first and starts a recording of his movements. He stops on the red button pressure pad and stops recording. He then goes to the yellow pad and starts recording a 2nd version. The first recording plays while you're recording at the same time. You can see the holographic image of your 1st recording as you walk by and exit out the door.

Great Clock Sector2 8 The central computer voice will guide you through each temporal recording and confirms your status "Temporal recording initiated". A chime will sound when recording is stopped. As you walk out the door, Clank will get tons of bolts! Clank is amused "Quite the ingenious security device? Did you design it?" Sigmund defers "Are you kidding? Orvus was the smart one". Walk up to the set of time pads. This exercise involves recording over a previous time sequence.

Great Clock Sector2 9 Stand on the blue pad: start recording. Run onto the red pressure pad button and open the door to the chamber. STOP RECORDING. Stand on the yellow pad: start recording. Run beside the blue holographic image of you. Run past him into the chamber (your blue self opens it). Stand on the red pressure button inside. STOP RECORDING. The exit door is now open. Stand on the blue pad again: start re-recording. Run and stand on the red pressure button opening the chamber.

Great Clock Sector2 10 Stay on the red pressure button. Wait for the yellow holograhic image of you to run past, into the chamber, and stand on the pressure button inside. Now run down the hallway and out the door. You'll hear a completion chime when you exit along with another shower of bolts. Run out to the terrace. Whack all the nearby crates. Sigmund is desperately trying to stop the Brainwave Scrambler from destroying anything else.

Great Clock Sector2 11 Use the Meteor Pad and launch over to the next terrace. Sigmund opens the door and runs inside. Welcome to Mnemonic Station Beta. Sigmund is excited "So are you ready to meet Orvus?". Clank practical and logical as always "I am ready, Who is Orvus?" Sigmund laughs. "He's in your head of course! Locked away in a secret partition of your memory banks. I now have to deactivate your neural safeguards to your unconscious. Hop in!"

Great Clock Sector2 12 Clank enters the station and is teleported to a dream world. Clank appears in this white world that looks like it's floating in clouds (what I would guess is robot heaven). Orvus appears. Orvus is the master Zoni so to speak and inventor of the Great Clock. He is (in a word) Clank's Father! "Welcome.. XJ0461. I am Orvus. I have been anticpating your return for quite some time!" Clank is confused "I do not understand? Have I been here before?"

Great Clock Sector2 13 Orvus snickers "You don't think your soul came from a robot factory do you?.. I created you! You must have a lot of questions, but first.. I have a present for you!" Orvus hands Clank the ChronoSceptor. And with that we start the learning exercises. First, learn to throw a time bomb [R1]. Timb bombs slow down time to a crawl but only inside the rift sphere. Hop across the rings in the time rift, to the next station.

Great Clock Sector2 14 Orvus explains the next lesson. "If you come across a broken object, simply strike it with your ChronoSceptor. It should reverse back in time to how it was". Whack all the broken objects on the floating pad. They all magically revert backwards and repair themselves to a pristene state. COOL! Now it's on to Lesson 2. Orvus is concerned "From time to time, various creatures find their way into the Great Clock".

Great Clock Sector2 15 Orvus continues "A good caretaker protects all of the equipment AT ALL COSTS! Now.. think of someone you wouldn't mind bonking in the head? Maybe a bafoon! Someone whose made your life difficult in the past?" Clank thinks of Qwark. Orvus laughs. Little mini Qwarks appear. Whack all the waves of mini Qwarks as they materialize. Orvus is impressd "Well Done! You certainly cleaned their CLOCKS!?" (dry humor)

Great Clock Sector2 16 Hop across the last set of floating platforms and time bomb the rings. Orvus continues "You've done wonderfully my son! I know you're going to take good care of this place! My dear boy.. This is YOUR facility! The Great Clock and everything in it... I now leave to you! Fulfil your destiny XJ0461. Program terminated" Clank then flashes to the Mnemonic Station. Walk down to the chamber and grab the ChronoSceptor. Sigmund congratulates Clank.

Great Clock Sector2 17 Before moving to the next chamber, we have some repair work to do. Look around the station and find the broken pipes. Repair the broken pipes by whacking them with the ChronoSceptor (you get bolts too). From here on in, whenever you see a broken light fixture, broken pipe, broken conduit or control panel, you'll want to whack them and fix them. IT'S YOUR JOB! as caretaker. Now join up with Sigmund and move on.

Great Clock Sector2 18 As you walk out to the next terrace, Sigmund warns you about the Teratrope Snails. As they approach, whack them with your ChronoSceptor. Jump across to the next platform. Enter inside the next room Paradox Substation 2. It appears the hover bridge is out. Time to travel. Step on the blue pad: start recording. Use a time bomb and hop across the slow rings. Step on the red presure button at the end. STOP RECORDING.

Great Clock Sector2 19 Step on the yellow pad: start recording. Follow behind your other recording (blue holograph) as he crosses the rings. When he reaches the button, run past him. Whack the 2 Teratropes that pop-op and fix the broken pipes and cylinders near the entrance. Walk out through the exit door. WATCH YOUR CLOCK! Whenever you use a time pad, you are always recording. You have do all of there things before the clock runs out! If not, the recording will fail and stop.

Great Clock Sector2 20 Make your across the next terrace. Whack all the Teratope Snails. Use your time bombs and hop and hover across the stellar rings. Another time puzzle. Go on the blue pad: start recording. Run to the red pressure button inside the open tube. Stand on it for 10 seconds then walk off. STOP RECORDING. Go on the yellow pad: start recording. Run past the blue holograph and wait for the elevator tube to come down. Wait 10 seconds, then ride it up and walk off.

Great Clock Sector2 21 Whack the Teratrope Snails as they try to ambush you. Whack all the crates and Nanotech Health cube on the left. Go to the right and using your ChronoSceptor, repair the broken lights & conduit. Now walk inside Paradox Substation 3. This one is going to be a challenge! Sigmund asks the computer "Can you shut off the gyro gears in Substation 3?" Computer says "Negative.. But I will cross my fingers for you?"

Great Clock Sector2 22 OK. let's get to work. Stand on the blue pad: start recording. Slowly walk to the red pressure pad on the right. Take about 5 seconds. Stand on it for 5 seconds then walk off. STOP RECORDING. Stand on the yellow pad: start recording Run past the holograph to the glass pad behind the tube. Stand on it. Wait for the elevator pad to lift. Walk off. Jump across the rings using time bombs and stand on the red pressure button at the back. Open the door. STOP RECORDING.

Great Clock Sector2 23 Stand on the blue pad again: start re-recording. Let the yellow holograph run past you and stop at the elevator pad. Now run into the tube and stand on the red pressure button. The elevator pad goes up. Wait for 2-3 seconds then get off. Now run across to the left and hop across the rings to the far side. Repair the pipe on the right. Hop and climb the glass pad steps to the upper level. The door should now be open. Exit before time runs out. BOLT SHOWER!

Great Clock Sector2 24 [cut scene] The central computer announces "Warning! Unauthorized hypersonic device on approach". The Hypersonic Brainwave Scrambler from Nefarious is obviously in pursuit and attacks from the terrace next to Clank. "Unathorized sonic device in Sector 3". Clank walk into the battle arena. "Your time, has come to an end.. HBS. Let's dance!" Kick some ass!

Great Clock Sector2 25 The best offesnive weapon here is time bombs. It will slow down the Scrambler enough that you can go inside the time rift bubble, and give him a few good whacks with your wrench. Watch his health bar on the right. Whack all the Teratropes as they pop-up from the terrace. Throw more time bombs. Whack away at the Scrambler. He'll start to spark and short circuit as you beat him into submission.

Great Clock Sector2 26 Eventually you'll be able to deliver the fatal blow to the scrambler. He'll sputter around and when he tries to fly away, he explodes in a cloud of sparks and broken parts. You are awarded the Bronze PS3 Trophy: Junior Caretaker.
[cut scene] Sigmund is happy "That was amazing sir! Do you think you could teach me to fight like that?" Lawrence, Nefarious' butler, has been secretly watching it all in the shadows.

Great Clock Sector2 27 [movie continues] Lawrence logs a report and contacts Nefarious... Back at the Space Station, Nefarious is rehearsing for an upcoming rock opera "Night Of The Living Squishies" that he is starring in. Seems his under studies are not all that thrilled about being there. Too many untimely deathes from practicing their lines? Lawrence interrupts the rehearsal "Silly me! I thought it prudent I should tell you, that Clank is enroute to the Orvus Chamber, Sir!"

Great Clock Sector2 28 [movie continues] Nefarious is ecstatic "SPLENDID! The moment we've been waiting for. Now.. if there is nothing else to discuss?" Lawrence has some more intel "There is one small matter.." Lawrence shows Nefarious a holoscreen of Qwark and Ratchet escaping from Vorlseon's ship. Nefarious loses it and snaps his neural network! Now if you remember, Nefarious goes into this hilarious TV sitcom old movie routine in his mind, featuring Janice and Lance.

Nefarious snaps out of it and vows revenge of course "Annihilate them!" Blah blah blah! We now return to Ratchet entering the Vela Sector.
