Find The Reflector Dish

This is it! Back home again. I'm sure that Rachet wishes it were under better circumstances. Our only mission now is to stop Drek from blowing up the planet. First things first... We have to find him and get through the new fortress security.

Planet Veldin 2 Before you go any further, it's a good idea to run through all the mission maps from your planetary journeys, to make sure you have everything you want. We are not going to be leaving any time soon and the game ends on this planet. One word of advice... make sure you spend the 30,000 bolts for the Ultra Nanotech back on Planet Orxon. The extra health capacity is well worth the expense, and probably vital to surviving Drek and beating him, in the final battle.

Planet Veldin 3 Load up on everything at the Gadgetron Kiosk. Take care of the bouncing red frogs with whatever weapon you want. They do vaporize nicely with the morph-o-ray. Load the disruptor, zoom auto-aim and fire one missle, on the hovering security soldier robot, lurking up ahead. Walk over to the bridge to find more jumping frogs. Because you will have to fight them off from close range, I chose to use the pyrocitor. Clean out the area and climb the wall ledges on the left cliff.

Planet Veldin 4 A Blarg military cargo space ship drops off 2 more security soldier robots up ahead. Load the disruptor and take out one of the robots. The other robot immediately starts to fire long range pulse fire. These guys are deadly accurate so I suggest moving around ALOT. When there's a lull in the fire, zoom auto-aim on the other robot, fire a missle and get out of the way. Jump to the upper area and load the morph-o-ray (You need to conserve ammo when you can). Avoid the tunnel for now, and go to the right.

Planet Veldin 5 Take care of the horde of bouncing frogs that come out from behind the crates and clean-out the area. At the end of the platform, you can see all the obstacles along the path that you'll face. Load the visibomb gun, launch and steer one missle into the stationary Blarg military ship off to the left. Launch and steer a second missle into the armored tank, running up and down the far path. This will make things less complicated when you have to work your way down there shortly.

Planet Veldin 6 Back-track up the path and turn right down the tunnel. Another security soldier robot is waiting. Load the gold blaster and surprize attack him. Down the path there are more frogs and 3 security soldier robots. Load the disruptor and take care of the robots first. Avoid the return gunfire. Run back up the path if you have to. Take care of the frogs with any unlimited-ammo weapon and then walk to the archway. There are 3 more security robots waiting. Load the disruptor again and fire away. Hide behind the arch when they fire back.

Planet Veldin 7 This may be trickey because the soldier robots move around and sometimes hide behind obtsacles making the auto-aim target ring lose its lock. Be patient. From the archway entrance, load the visibomb gun. Launch and steer a missle into both the hovering military spaceship and armored tank down by the far bridge. Now the coast is clear. Whack all the nearby crates, take care of the frogs bouncing around in the shallow crater, (your weapon of choice) and cross the bridge.

Planet Veldin 8 On the far side of the bridge is an electrified invinco-lock forcefield. Load the trespasser and plug into the wall socket on the left. Descramble the green lasers and disarm the forcefield. Load the glove of doom and toss 2 canisters past the fence. Your nano-robots will run ahead and take care of the frogs running around. These frogs were resistant to the morph-o-ray gun? To the right, is a magnetic walkway up the side of the building. Walk up and sideways along the building, then up again to a circular water chamber catwalk.

Planet Veldin 9 Up top, there's a remote Gadgetron kiosk to the right. Load up on everything again! Down below inside the half-filled tank, is a power piston under water, in the floor. We need to drain the water to expose the power piston, so we can power slam it, opening the nearby access portal. Load the hydrodisplacer and plug into the socket on the left. Drain the water from the tank, and jet-hover down to the piston. Jet-power-slam on the bullseye and walk through the now-opened access tunnel. Climb the ladder at the other end.

Planet Veldin 10 Load the glove of doom before going into the cave area. Toss 2 canisters inside to clear-out the bouncing frogs lurking around the cave entrance. Hovering in the back are 3 security soldier robots. Load the disruptor and zoom auto-aim on any of the robots. Fire one missle and wait for him to vaporize. The other 2 robots will return fire. Hide behind the wall by the entrance. Fire another missle and watch him vaporize. Again run for cover from the return fire. Fire another missle to hit the last robot. Now go inside and clean-out the cave.

Planet Veldin 11 There's an armored tank guarding the cave exit on the other side of the lava canyon. Load the visibomb gun and steer a guided missle into the tank. Jump over the pedestals to the cave exit. Up ahead are a series of metal grate platforms with lots of bouncing frogs and more security soldier robots. Load the gold blaster and peg all the frogs. Jump behind the generator on the left, and hide from the security robots. Off to the right is a circular tunnel blocked by an iris forcefield. There's a gold bolt down there. Walk to the iris forcefield.

Walk inside the pipe right next to the forcefield. Load the taunter. Call over the frog jumping inside the tunnel. The frog will run over a floor sensor, releasing the forcefield. Walk inside and grab the gold bolt.

Planet Veldin 12 Load the visibomb gun first. Off to the left in the distance, is a hovering military spaceship. Get him first, so no more security soldier robots can be deployed. Now load the disruptor and go after the robots (one by one) hovering over the next platform area. If you stay behind the generator, you can shield yourself from the return gunfire as each one gets hit by a missle. After things are quiet, whack all the crates, clean-up the bolts and walk up to the next platform. Go left and hop over the circular metal grates over to another platform.

Planet Veldin 13 There are 2 security soldier robots hovering at close range. Load the gold blaster and fire away at them, before they know what is happening. Hopefully you won't be injured badly. Power-jump up the next platform to the right and turn right to face the next set of long platforms. Load the visibomb gun and take out the hovering military ship, off in the distance to the left. Load the disruptor and peg the 3 security soldier robots. Their return fire won't reach the platform. Now load the walloper and punch the roaming frogs.

GOLD BOLT #39: Walk down the catwalk to the first house on the right. Jump to the roof, then up the stairs to the tree balconies. Jump across the balconies (be careful) to the gold bolt around the back of the tree.

AMMO STRATEGY: You're probably very close to being empty on disruptor and visibomb missles. The next Gadgetron kiosk is not around for some time. You may want to load the remote Gadgetron PDA and stock up on all ammo before you go any further. No need to save your bolts. THIS IS THE LAST LEVEL, so buy what you need.

Planet Veldin 14 Jump up to the circular metal grate platform. Load the swingshot. Tarzan swing across the 2 double versa-targets then jet-glide to the far ledge. Load the walloper and punch all the jumping frogs. The gate in the fence is invinco-locked with a forcefield. Load the trespasser and plug into the socket on the left. Align the green lasers and disarm the forcefield. Load the glove of doom and toss 2 canisters through the open gate. Your nano-robots will sweep the area clean.

Planet Veldin 15 Be careful walking through the garden and shallow pool area. STAY TO THE RIGHT! Up ahead to the left, are 3 security soldier robots, waiting to ambush you. As you walk through the pool, you can see them guarding the tunnel leading out to next canyon. Load the disruptor and take them out, one at a time. Duck behind the rocks when they return fire. As you walk out the cave, you'll encounter 5 more security robots and a military ship. Use up all your disruptor missles and peg them one by one, until the coast is clear.

Planet Veldin 16 Up ahead are 2 single versa-targets. One at each end of the canyon. You can swingshot back and forth over the canyon should you need to? Before swinging over to the other side of the canyon, turn right and walk to the edge. Look down and jump right to a hidden semi-circular platform behind the cliff. A grindrail is mounted on the corner. Jump to the grindrail and slide down to the circular tunnel entrance below.

Planet Veldin 17 Inside the tunnel around a corner, is the last gold bolt #40. Grab it and then climb the ladder. Up top is a long bouncing wall ladder. Bounce up the walls to a balcony landing. Jump through the gap in the railing down to the shallow pool area we were just exploring. Walk up to the edge of the canyon. Load the swingshot and swing over to the tunnel. Climb the ladder inside the tunnel. WELCOME TO YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE!!

Planet Veldin 18 There are 3 military spaceships and at least 15 security soldier robots dead ahead, hovering over a large open area. Load the Gadgetron remote PDA first and load up on disruptor missles. You need all 20! Load the disruptor. Once you fire just one missle, ALL THE ROBOTS WILL FIRE AT YOU AT ONCE! This is not pretty! Hide behind the pillar or duck into the tunnel on the left, until the missle fire stops. You cannot survive their gunfire if you stand exposed, out on the balcony. Take out the robots one at a time.

ALTERNATE STRATEGY: You can ignore these soldier robots and spaceships, and just move on down the tunnel to the left. You will have to face this security force sooner or later, but you may want to wait until further into the level, when Clank becomes a large UltraMech robot and stomps around in the open area.

Planet Veldin 19 Down at the end of the tunnel is a large open water chamber. The access pipe to the next tank, is too high up the wall to reach by normal jumping or jet-hovering. Load the hydrodisplacer, plug into the floor drain on the left, and fill the tank with water. Jump in and swim through the access pipe connecting to the next tank. Surface there and climb out. Follow the ledge around to the exit portal. Look around but DON'T JUMP DOWN.

Planet Veldin 20 There are several bouncing frogs waiting for you at the base of the ladder that you can't see from up here. Load the glove of doom and toss 2 canisters down to the ground. Your nano-robots will hatch and chase down all the frogs. Once the coast is clear, jet-hover down to the ground, collect all the bolts and walk onto the Ultra-Mech floor sensor. Press [triangle] and transform Clank to an Ultra-Mech. Time to kick some Blarg butt!

Planet Veldin 21 Using the Ultra-Mech monster powers, knock down all the retaining walls and move to the far area on the right. If you haven't taken care of the secuity force before, you will now! Bash them with your fists and with your arm missles. Make your way to the reflector dish up ahead. Any lingering frogs are squashed by Clank. Guess who's here? Chariman Drek himself is waiting for you in his high-tech spaceship. Go inside the reflector dish and fight him off until his power diminshes by one bar. He will then retreat over the canyon.

The first part of this last adventure is now complete. Convert Clank back to small size and walk to the edge of the reflector dish. There is a teleport pad to take you back to your garage and your ship. Go back to your ship and SAVE GAME.
