Once you enter the hoverboard race, everything starts right away. You have NO time to practice or get used to the hoverboard or the course. I raced the circuit at least 4-5 times, just to get a feel for the layout, and for the pace of the race, eventhough I had no chance of winning.

The secret to winning the hoverboard race is to stay in turbo as much as you can. If you plan your path well, you can stay in turbo for all 3 laps and be well ahead of any competition. The yellow marked arrows are single turbo boost slingshot platforms. The white plasma energy circles are also turbo boost slingshots. The first lap you must try to get ahead of at least 3 other boarders. Jump to the high platforms wherever you can. The lower course is full of red explosive crates.

The 2nd lap can be the same route as the 1st lap. Stay in turbo and don't make any mistakes or fall. Stay calm and focused on your mission and by the end of the lap you should be in 1st place. The big thing to worry about towards the end of the 2nd lap, is dodging the scattered red crates. Find a line to skate through and stick to it. If you happen to run over an ameboid, you will not loose your turbo boost. Run em over if it means getting in line to a turbo marker.

Stick to your lane around the last lap. Don't look back. Go in turbo all the way through. You should be able to clear the course in plenty of time to win the race. When you're done, Qwark announces on TV that Rachet's the winner. You win a platinum zoomerator hoverboard rocket pack. Now take your 1st prize back to Planet Aridia and present it to Skid McMarx's agent. He has a surprize for you!
