The last mission on Planet Novalis is to explore the new underground cave area. You will only become aware of this area after you acquire the map-o-matic on Planet Kalebo 3... and it shows up on the planet mission map as an uncharted region.

Even if you were aware of this area before now, you can only successfully navigate the strong current in the stream, with the assistance of Clank's jet hydropack, which you have to buy from Edwina on Planet Hoven.

From the shuttle launch pad, go to the cliff and take the hover pad down to the valley. Load the morph-o-ray or walloper and work your way down to the buildings by the bridge. Take out all your favorite Blarg enemies along the way. Walk around the last building to the stream. To the left, is a tunnel under water. Jump in and use the turbo swim [R1] to go up the tunnel against the current. At the end of the stream, surface and jump to the ledge on the left, inside the cave.

On the other side of the stream are 2 ameboids walking around. Jump into the water and out onto the ledge on the far side. Load the glove of doom and toss 2 canisters. Don't forget that ameboids break into 4 then 2, so you need 8 nano-robots to chase down the babies. After the coast is clear, whack all the nearby crates and go to your right. Climb the bounce wall and grab all the ammo up top. Walk down the sloped tunnel to the large open cave area with the heavy fog.

Inside the cave are 8 ameboids. Toss all your doom glove canisters. Don't save your ammo. Let your nano-robots have a feeding frenzy. Lots of fun to watch! Once the cave is clear, go inside and clean up all the bolts around the perimeter. From the far side of the cave, you can see a wall ladder, a set of steps and the glow of a gold bolt on a high ledge. Climb the ladder, then the steps and claim your prize. Once complete, go back into the stream and return to the shuttle pad.

Everything on Planet Novalis is now complete. You can review your status and map using the [Select button]. Make sure all missions are checked off. You should have all 3 gold bolts now. If you only have 2, look for another new secret section in the other cave area, by the 3 water tanks. (see "Exploring The Waterworks")
