Our 1st mission in Metropolis is to complete Captain's Qwark's Fitness Course. Not an easy task. This will require fine-tuning our controller skills and watching the obstacles very closely.
From the launch pad, go through the hallway to the main patio area where the Gadgetron kiosk is. Go down the stairs to the left, down the walkway and through the arch. Ahead, is the Captain Qwark robot who explains the fitness course and the perils that lie ahead. Of course Clank thinks this robot is really Captin Qwark and starts to ask questions. Rachet has to explain to Clank that it is really a robot. The Gadgetron help desk will explain how a move is executed when needed.

First, walk around the perimiter of the ground area and scour for bolts. There are a number of ledges that have crates. Jump up the steps, and make your way to the first landing half way up. Red crates are explosive and are sensitive to touch. Do NOT whack away at them. Just stand on a red crate OR bump into it. Once touched, red crates will flash and a short detonation alarm starts. Make sure you stand back and collect the bolts after it explodes.

Bounce-jump off the next set of walls and work your way to the very top platform. Before going on, take a look at the view. The graphics in this game are amazing. Grab all the goodies and position Rachet on the circle with the "X". Pushing [X] will start Rachet sliding down the cable using his wrench. Hang on for the ride. At the bottom, Rachet is automatically released. Jump over the small platforms to the next open area with the towering building.

Walk around the perimeter of the tower and collect all the loose bolts. There is a set of short steps at one end. Climb up the ledges and watch the moving blocks before crossing. Work your way up the tower. Around each corner, the moving blocks get a little tougher along the next wall. Make sure to watch one complete cycle of moving blocks before you jump across. 2 sections have parallel walls that move in and out. Start your wall bounces as soon as the blocks start coming out. You will have just enough time.
Once you reach the top of the tower, break all the crates up top and grab the Nanotech health sphere should you need it. Like before, position Rachet on the circle marked with an "X", and slide down the cable to the next roof-top area. Once you land safely, approach the trainer. [Action sequence begins]. She explains how disgusted she is with your performance and doesn't give up the reward easily. Pay the trainer 1000 bolts for the Swingshot. One mission is now complete.

After Ratchet acquires the Map-o-matic on Planet Kalebo 3 a new area on the city map of Metropolis will appear, that was hidden before. This new area is a remote terrace located not too far from the fitness course inside another building.
From the roof top of the tallest building on the fitness course, you can see there is an open terrace inside one of the nearby buildings. From the roof-top, jet-glide over to the terrace. Be careful as you steer through the air, not to over-shoot your landing or fall short. Inside the terrace are several stacks of crates and a glowing gold bolt. Clean-out the area. Jet-glide back to the island area down below, near the entrance to the fitness course. Job done!
