Finally... some nice sunny weather!! It's been a long time since we explored Planet Pokitaru. The first mission on this planet is to hunt for new equipment. If we happen to defeat some Blarg security forces along the way, all the better.

Take the first set of ramps down from the shuttle pad. In the air, up ahead, are 3 Blarg elite security soldiers equipped with some nasty long-range missles. Your only chance is to stay far away and use the zoom auto-aim target ring from the disruptor or the guidance system from a visibomb. Anything close range will lead to an ambush and nasty health damage. Take-out the 3 soldiers and collect the bolts as you pass the area where they were hovering.

EXTRA BOLTS: If you're interested, all the domed side-lights along any walkway, can be whacked for extra bolts. The glass shatters and the bolts gravitate to Rachet.

The next walkway to the left has a series of robot mines. Load the blaster. As soon as you attack 1 mine, all 6 will come forward and start swarming. Peg them with 3 shots, one mine at a time. If you don't want to bother with combat, you can always load the glove of doom and toss 2 canisters down the moving sidewalk. The nano-robots will make quick work of the obstacle. The morph-o-ray gun doesn't work on them.

As you cross the moving sidewalk, a Blarg security ship stops in mid-air and unloads 5 more Blarg elite security soldiers that block your path. 3 soldiers venture off to the right, and 2 stay right in front. Jump off the moving sidewalk and stay back. Load the disruptor again and take down the first 2 soldiers. The zoom auto-aim target ring may be hard to get a lock, because the soldiers keeping moving, and it's long-range. You have to be quick. The soldiers start firing their fast and deadly missles, as soon as one gets hit.

The 3 elite soldiers hovering over the walkway, way over on the right, by the building, are just out of range for the disruptor auto-aim target ring. Load the visibomb gun. Fire and guide one missle into each soldier. This may seem like overkill, but you don't want these soldiers in your way, later on. Take the moving sidewalk over to the Gadgetron building entrance. The big red button on the left deactivates the forcefield to the main lobby. Whack it with your trusty wrench.

Nothing exciting in the main lobby. Make sure you're fully loaded before moving on. Because we are on the company's home planet, there are Gadgetron kiosks everywhere. Go through the open doorway on the
right. There's a group of 10 robot guard dogs all lined-up in 2 rows. Load the gold blaster. From the doorway, peg them off, one by one, with a pulse from the blaster. The target ring will auto-lock-on as you fire away. Go down the walkway and clean up as you go.

To the left, is an entrance leading into a room. THIS IS A TRAP!! As you enter, the sliding glass doors will close and auto-lock behind you. Before you go past the entrance, load the glove of doom and toss 2 cansiters into the room. Let the nano-robots hatch and start running around, then load the pryocitor or walloper. Now go inside. All the little doors inside the room start to open, releasing hover robots with bomb gloves. There must be 10-12 of them. Destroy whatever robots the nano-robots don't take-out for you.

When the room is cleaned-out, the glass doors at the other end will auto-open. Take the hover elevator to a balcony platform area. There are 3 Blarg elite security soldiers at very close range ready to ambush you. Duck behind the blue crates on the right, away from the missle fire and load the disruptor. When they take a break to reload, quickly jump-out, fire a couple of blind missles then duck for cover again. Hopefully you can take them all out this way. You'll certainly lose some health, and if you're lucky, you won't die.

EXTRA GAMEPLAY NOTE: Don't get discouraged if it takes you 2-3 tries to get past this balcony section. One thing that may help, is to load the drone defense shield. It may buy you a little extra time when trying to fire on the soldiers.

Once the security soldiers are gone, load the bomb glove and toss a bomb at each stack of blue crates. Grab all the goodies and the much-needed Nanotech health sphere. Off to the right, there's a break in the fence. Down below is a red button mounted on a cylindrical structure. Load the blaster, zoom auto-aim on the button, and fire one shot. This will deactivate the force-field and Rachet can jet-hover down through the opening. With the blaster still loaded, take out the hover mines as you enter the room.

In the next room, is another SLIDING GLASS DOOR TRAP. Load the glove of doom and toss 2 canisters into the room, past the doorway. Let the nano-robots hatch and run around the room. Now load the pyrocitor or walloper and enter the room. The hover robots that attack have flame throwers, and are more difficult to pin-down. Let the nano-robots do their thing and take-down any left-overs. The doors at the other end will swing open, when all the robots are destroyed.

Ahead on the outer platform, are 3 more Blarg elite security soldiers and a few guard dogs. From the hallway load the disruptor and zoom auto-aim on the soldiers. They will start to fire as soon as one is hit. Retreat back to the robot room until they stop firing. Fire one missle at each one, then load the walloper and take care of the dogs. Off to the right are crates to whack and a Nanotech health sphere. One the far side of the platform, is a walkway leading to a shuttle pad.

Jet-jump over to the far platform and walk half way. There are several hovering mines hiding in the circular area. Load the gold blaster and as they detect you and move forward, fire away. Don't worry about ammo at this point, there's a Gadgetron kiosk up ahead. Clean-out the area and jump up to the platform on the left. Load the swingshot and tarzan across using the double versa-target, over to the lower room inside the building. More guard dogs are waiting and your screen icon shows bolts hidden in the floor.

On the right wall of the room, there's a ladder made of piping. Up top are a stack of crates. From the very top of the pipe ladder, position Rachet to line-up with the red target, but also within swingshot range of the single versa-target you can see, behind the gate forcefield. Load the blaster and ping the target. This will deactivate the forcefield BUT ON A TIMER. Load the swingshot and lock-on to the versa-target. You'll have just enough time to clear the gate before the forcefield comes back on.

Before jumping on the grindrail, load the walloper first. At the end of the grindrail, when you jump down to the platform, you'll be ambushed by a group of guard dogs. Best to be forearmed. Clean-out the area and whack all the crates. Enter the next HOVER ROBOT TRAP ROOM. Load the glove of doom and toss 2 canisters into the room. Let the nano-robots hatch, and then enter the room. There are more hover robots this time. While you're dodging the robots, throw 1-2 more doom canisters to destroy what's left.

As the sliding glass doors open, 3 more Blarg elite security soldiers arrive. Take care of the guard dogs up ahead first. Load the disruptor zoom auto-lock with the target ring, and fire one missle at one of the soldiers. These soldiers will hover from left to right, making it difficult to lock-on. Once you destroy one soldier, the other 2 will make it very hard to stand still. You may not have enough time to lock-on with the disruptor again. If it's too hard, load the visibomb gun and guide one missle into each of the 2 soldiers.

Once the coast is clear, go outside and clean-up the 2 platforms. Watch-out for more hover mines as you cross the narrow walkway. As you move forward, another Blarg spaceship unloads 4 more Blarg elite security soldiers. This time you have nowhere to hide. From the safety of the first platform, well out of range from their missle fire, load the visibomb gun again. Fire and guide 2 missles into the 2 soldiers on the right. The 2 on the left are hovering behind crates.

Run for cover behind a stack of blue crates on the left while the soldiers fire away at you. From the edge of the crates, fire and guide a visibomb into each of the 2 remaining soldiers. This may take awhile, because the soldiers are moving around. DON'T WORRY ABOUT AMMO. You can buy more using your new remote P.D.A.

Jump to the last platform and whack all the crates. To the left is a large spaceship hanger. There are hover robots everywhere. Each one is firing grenade bombs or flames. Load the bomb glove. These robots move around, so as they stop, toss a grenade. Peg all the robots from a safe distance, one at a time, moving from the left side to the right side and back again. Take your time. You'll eventually clean-out the hanger.

Walk through the doorway at the end into another small hallway. Standing off to the right, is a marketing agent, where Rachet can enter a new hoverboard race. Down the hallway, past all the crates, is a passage leading back to the main lobby of the building. Go to the lobby and SAVE GAME. The first mission is now complete.
