Rachet's next mission on the base is to shoot down Captain Qwark's spaceship. This will not be easy. Not only do you have to maneuver through the asteroids, but Rachet has to find time to shoot missles at Qwark's ship, while avoiding land mines and heat-seeker missles. Get your flying helmet on!

First the controls.. The [O] controller button is for guided missles. As you chase Qwark, try to lock-on to the engines at the back of Qwark's ship. When the target circle shrinks and flashes bright red, fire away. The [X] controller button is for machine-gun fire. This is to destroy the incoming heat-seeker missles or any hovering mines in your flight-path. Machine-guns can also be used towards the end of the battle, to fire on Qwark's ship, when you run out of missles.

Be patient. Make sure you have a clear shot at the engines. Don't waste your missles! Shoot down as many incoming heat-seekers as possible before you fire a guided missle. If you're successful, a section of Qwark's ship will break-off and vaporize, and you'll hear Qwark get angry. Fly around the land mines as best you can. When the smaller escort fighter ships appear, use the machine gun to take down the fighters, one at a time. Try to avoid their return gun-fire as best you can.

It will take alot of machine-gun work to take out all the fighters, but once clear, you can focus on what's left of Qwark's ship. Watch out for the heatseekers again, as he stops and turns to face you. Be patient and take out the heat-seekers first. If you're lucky, and not too damaged, you can finish him off. When he's defeated, Qwark's ship will spin out of control down to the planet. This mission is complete. Ratchet and Clank will re-appear at a new runway on the base.
