Drek's Fleet has taken position above Planet Veldin and is about to launch a new powerful laser that will destroy Rachet's home planet. Our mission, is to dismantle his space fleet before it does any damage. Our first stop is disabling Drek's water tanker.

From the shuttle launch pad, jump into the water anywhere from the platform. Deep inside the tank (about halfway down), are 3 sensor timer rings. Swim through all 3 rings in sequence, to open a tunnel door along the outer wall. Rachet needs to use turbo swim [R1] through all 3 rings, before the timer runs out. It will be tight! Once the door opens, swim through the tunnel and then up to surface, inside a large dry room. Jump out and whack all the nearby crates.

At the far end of the room, there's another pool of water, but this one is heavily electrified. In the middle of the floor, there's a flashing floor sensor. As Rachet walks over the sensor, the electrical circuit turns off. The water is now safe. A timer at the bottom of the screen will begin counting down from 2 minutes. Every time Rachet walks over the sensor, the timer resets to 2 minutes. Plan your dive into the water. Timing will be everything trying to swim through the next series of tunnels before the clock runs out.

The water tunnels are filled with traps and obstacles. Watch out for the floating spike mines and stationary spider lasers. At various tunnel junction points, you'll face rotating fan forcefields. Swim between the fan sections to avoid being zapped and injured. As you move deeper into the tunnels, the fan blades rotate faster and the spider lasers become more frequent and make the route tighter to navigate. Stay in turbo swim all the way. Never let up and don't stall at any the fan blades, looking for an opening.

As time winds down under 20 seconds, the counter will start to flash on the screen. Swim through the last 3 sensor timer rings in sequence to activate the access door at the far end of the circular tank. Swim through the last tunnel and then up to the surface. Jump out onto the dry platform before the timer runs out. The water will re-electrify the moment you get out. You won't be able to go back in the water from here.

EXTRA HINT: To find a gold bolt, after you swim through the last 3 sensor timer rings, turn around and turbo swim straight back, down another tunnel. Up top, is a dry platform and a gold bolt. There is a floor sensor there, that will reset the electrical timer back to 2 minutes, giving you lots of time to swim to the end.

ANOTHER EXTRA HINT: After swimming the entire water tanker and surviving, come back a second time. This time you know the drill! Go through the entire obstacle course with NO INJURY and earn a skill point.

On the platform, there's a special codebot glowing in mid-air. This codebot will open a secret locked door back on Planet Quartu down by the inventor's UltraMech workshop. Inside that room are a number of great surprizes. Whack all the nearby crates and load the metal detector to get at all the hidden bolts. Walk out the portal on the left into the cockpit of a small shuttle pod. The pod will fly out in space, and take Rachet back to the original shuttle launch pad entrance. First mission is now complete.
