Ratchet is now back at the shuttle pad, where we first touched down on the planet. Our next mission is to ride the grindrail complex (more like a twisted roller coaster) and find the other commando. According to Clank, he has valuable info.

Off to the right, just past the Gadgetron kiosk, is a small inclined street with houses on either side. Go past each of the houses on the left and right and clean-out the crates in every one. There are no enemy ambushes or hovering drone robots to worry about. At the end of the street, you come to a dead-end with a grindrail attached to the platform. If you look closely, there's also an inactive transporter pad in the floor.

OK... Fasten your seat belts and hang on tight. Time to ride the grindrails. This is a very long complex of loops and steep climbs and fast drops. Rachet is traveling at a pretty fast speed, so anticipating the next jump is key. Once you jump on the rail, take the first loop, grab all the bolts and jump back to the platform where you started. Now you know you have to jump rails from time to time to go deep into the complex.

Jump on the grindrail again. A the first meeting of 2 rails, jump to the left rail. As you wind around, jump over the gates inside the blue circular tower archways. Down farther, Rachet has to jump a gap in the rail. Clear a few more tower gates and then watch out for a rail joining up on the right. I would complete the loop you're on first to grab all the bolts. Circle all the way around until the rail comes up on the right again. Jump to the right rail. Watchout for hover mines.

There are several hover mines scattered along this next loop. Jump over each mine. Don't forget to anticipate the jump well ahead of time. Take the rail up the incline, then all the way down the steep never-ending spiral. A the end of the spiral, you go through a tunnel and up to another rail joining on the right. Jump to that rail. Up ahead, there is a wall blocking the rail. Quickly jump to the left rail, then back to the right rail to avoid hitting it.

Ride the last hill all the way up, then down a very long steep hill. You will start to speed up. Hang on!! Climb the last incline at break-neck speed, then fly through the air, landing on a platform, way out in the middle on nowhere. EXTRA HINT: Should Ratchet be able to complete the obstacle course dodging all the hover mines, with NO INJURY, you'll be awarded a skill point.

Meet the deserter commando. [Action sequence begins]. All he wants to do is get home. Pay the 2,000 bolts to buy his Infobot. This will give you access to Planet Gaspar and Planet Orxon. Once the commando disappears, the transporter pad will now be active. From here, teleport back to the street area by the launch pad. Check to make sure all missions are complete other than the 2 you can't do right now. Time to go to the Blarg Depot on Planet Gaspar.
