Jump in the Sand Shark and speed away into the desert. Go right at the break between the mountains. Drive all the way out. Look to the proximity radar for your location and where the TerraFormer is. As you drive up, you suddenly realize this thing is huge and it moves fast. To take down this mechanical beast, Jak has to shoot-out 2 powercells in the claw-base of each leg of the TerraFormer (7 legs x 2 = 14). OK... How the heck do you do that? Not easy.

The powercells are right at the base of each leg and are vulnerable only when the leg is planted in the sand. Drive up as close as you can, when you can, and fire the machine guns. Use turbo to drive underneath to get ahead of the legs. Spin around and fire on the leg right when it plants. If you wait too long, the claw will retract and the leg will spring up high into the air, out of sight. Watch for spike bombs being tossed into the sand from the Control Pod high above. Drive around them!

Your driving has to be top-notch. Buying the unlimited turbo secret is highly recommended. Take advantage of any flat terrain and turbo ahead as much as you can. Avoid the water or any dune-hopping. Look to each leg carfeully for a bright powercell light. Keep track with the counter on the right side of the screen. Hopefully, all will go well and you'll shoot-out the last powercell. [Movie sequence begins].

The TerraFormer sputters and slows down. The legs start to collapse. The Control Pod seperates and blasts away from the TerraFormer as it leans and crashes into the desert sand. Jak & Daxter are stopped in the Shark nearby, and watch the smoketrail in the sky as the Control Pod flies off over the mountains. It circles around and crashes into the sand in a giant cloud of dust, not too far away from Spargus. They start-up the Sand Shark and drive off to investigate.
