After completing the monk temple tests, Jak & Daxter meet up with Pecker the parrot. It's time to find a way back into Haven City. This looks to be the only way. |

Jump in the hovercar. The subrail network is basically an underground pipe network. The hover car can travel anywhere in the confines of the pipe tunnel, including sliding up the walls or on the roof. The speed of the car is relatively constant and there is NO BRAKING! There are acceleration pads (lit-up panels) that will increase your speed temporarily for jumping gaps. YOU DO HAVE A PLASMA MACHINE GUN! Use it to shoot down obstacles up ahead, blocking your way. |

The driving is fast and furious. It will probably take several crashes and restarts to get used to the environment and the pitfalls along the pipe network. WATCH-OUT FOR HOLES IN THE PANELS. There are several locations where panels have been left out from the pipe frames. Should you go through an open panel section, your car will crash and explode. Jump the gaps using the acceleration panels, and finish the driving course. Jak & Daxter end up in another subrail station. |

[Movie sequence begins]. A Precursor shadow materializes in the subrail station. He grants Jak another Light Eco Power. This one a Light Eco Defense Shield. We'll probably need it? Go through the doors and take the elevator to the eco mine. |
