After defeating Cyber-Errol in the KG War Factory, Damas breaks-in and tells Jak there's trouble out in the Monk Temple. They need you to go to the mountains and investigate. Grab a zoomer, go to South Port and take the Freedom League Personnel carrier back to the Wasteland. Go back to the garage and jump in the Dune Hopper.
Drive across the desert and hop through the islands by the sea and drive up to the Monk Temple. As the doors close behind you, a few Dark Makers materialize in the courtyard and start to attack. Load the BeamReflexor or PeaceMaker (better) and peg them all. One shot (even with their defense shield up) will vaporize them. If you want, power up Jak's Dark Eco [L2] and use the Dark Strike by throwing energy balls at a group of them as they attack together.
After all is quiet, whack all the vases against the walls and reload whatever ammo and health you can. Enter the temple and walk down the steps to the lower level. Dark Makers will attack on the stairs. Load the PeaceMaker and make short work of them. At the bottom more Dark Makers. Take care of business and walk into the Dark Eco Power Vent to recharge. Walk down the long passageway and enter the round ceremonial chamber. More Dark Makers materialize.
There are 4-5 Dark Makers to take down right away at close range. Load the Plasmite RPG (red 3rd notch) and fire a missle at each group of Dark Makers. The big shock wave explosions will vaporize the entire room. While everything is quiet load the PeaceMaker before the Dark Makers regroup. Wait for more enemies to materialize and peg them as they attack. If you use Jak's Dark Eco power at all, go back to the Power Vent and recharge first then return to the chamber.
Stand on the center pad of the circular steps in the middle of the chamber. Use Jak's Dark Eco Power [L2] and fire a Dark Strike [R1] energy ball at the doors. The doors will blow apart from the force of the Dark Eco energy. Run down the passageway that is now open.. More Dark Makers block your way. Use the Dark Strike and clear the passgeway. If you run out of Dark Eco you can go back to the vent and recharge. If you have juice, go into the room with the moving bars and blades.
More Dark Makers materialize everywhere. Load the PeaceMaker and peg them one at a time. Run down to the Dark Eco Power vent in the corner of the room. Use Jak's Dark Eco Power [L2] and throw a few Dark Strikes [R1] down each hallway as the Dark Makers keep materializing and attacking. Recharge with Dark Eco again and look for a stained glass window in one of the wall recesses. From the other side of the room, throw a Dark Strike energy ball. The window explodes. |
Behind where the stained glass window was, a secret passageway. Walk down the new secret tunnel into a large cathedral chamber that is now in ruins. Stand in the Light Eco Power Vent on the right. Use Jak's Light Eco Defense Shield [L2+circle] and power up a shield bubble. Walk down the ledge on the right. Dark Makers are everywhere. They bounce off the Eco Shield while Jak stays healthy. Walk to the end to the Dark Eco Power Vent. Recharge with Dark Eco. |
Chances are you burned up all your Light Eco. Load the PeaceMaker and take down any Dark Makers blocking your route. Don't waste too much time trying to get every single one of them. They materialize again and again. Jump across the gaps in the floor and work your way to the far wall with another arched door. Use Jak's Dark Eco Power [L2] and throw a Dark Strike blasting open the door. Go down the steps to the small room and whack all the vases. Lots of goodies! |
Walk down the corridor and re-enter the large cave with the Oracle. [Movie sequence begins] The Precursor Oracle is pleased that you are here again and rewards your courage with another Light Eco Power. This is the Power Of Flight. The Oracle warns that the Dark Forces are upon us and this is all we have to offer. Now it's up to you to find a way to defend hopes and dreams of the planet. The Light Eco Flight is powered by [L2+X]. |
Light Eco Flight is very cool! Tap [X] to flap the wings. Tap [X] again quickly, to power-flap the wings to give Jak amazing height. Tap the [X] button from time to time to stay flying and land on the circular pedestal platform. From here, fly over to the blacony in the wall. Go in the room and whack all the vases. I counted 6 Precursor Orbs + tons of ammo + 30 MetalHead Skull Gems. From here, fly to the next pedestal platform then to the next balcony. Walk up the inclined hallway. |
Out the doors, go right along the ledge. We are back inside the massive cathedral chamber, but this time we're much higher. You can look down and see where you were. There are Dark Makers still lurking around down below. Power up in the Light Eco Vent and activate Light Eco Flight [L2+X]. Jump and fly across to the first column. From there, fly across to the stone bridge section on the right. Fly across the gap in the bridge to the left and walk up against the wall.
Fly across to the column ahead, then fly across to the next column on the right. From here, fly down to the balcony ledge on the right (covered in rubble). From the balcony, fly up to the column nearby on the right. The last jump flight is a long one. From the very edge of the column, fly across to the other side of the room and land on the last column. It's going to be tight! If you miss, you fall to your death and start over. From the last column, fly over to the upper balcony at the end.
Walk up to Seem the Monk. [Movie sequence begins] Seem has been hiding a very special Prescursor artifact from Errol and Veger. She now knows that Jak & Daxter are the heroes that will save the planet. She hands Jak the Time Map Globe. She is sorry for doubting them and wishes them luck. Go to the teleport iris and jump in. Jak returns to the courtyard of the temple. Damas breaks-in and tells Jak they need help. Spargus is under attack by the Dark Makers.
