This is it! The boss battle of Act 1 for this adventure. To get here, Jak had to escort the bomb train down the eco mine railway and explode it into the garage area giving Jak access to the elevator to the lower catacombs, and ultimately here. |

[Movie sequence begins] Veger appears at the other end of the cave. He has gone insane with the illusion of power from the Precursors and thinks he can save the world in a dazzling aura of Light Eco. But first, he wants to rid the world of Dark Eco and thinks that Jak is an abomination. He opens his light staff and summons an ancient Precursor Robot that breaks free from the rock face. Lock n Load! |

The Robot has an arsenal of attacks. His first attack is shock waves. As he pounds the platform, jump over the shockwaves. His next attack is a moving laser sword that sweeps across the platform from left to right and back again. His third attack is throwing MetalHead grenades. As they explode on the platform MetalHead spiders multiply and attack. Load the Beam Reflexor and make short work of them. Grab the ammo canisters that are left behind. |

The Robot then pulls backs and shoots 5 energy bursts onto the platform. Avoid being hit. Each fire burst creates a small pedestal rock outcrop. There are 5 pedestals created and they group together to form a set of stairs. DON'T BOTHER WITH THE FIRST 2. Jump up, grab the edge, and pull-up on the 3rd pedestal. Jump to the 4th pedestal and then the highest one. Point your gun at one of the mine carts hanging overhead behind the robot. Fire away til the mine cart drops, hitting the Robot. |

He falls down the canyon like a sack of potatoes and then the mine cart explodes. BUT THAT'S NOT ENOUGH! He flies back up to platform level and starts his attacks all over again. We only managed to knock his health down by 1/3rd |

In the 2nd wave of attacks, more of the same, but a touch more intense. 3 shockwaves, 3 sword passes, another wave of MetalHeads and 5 more pedestals to climb. Shoot out another mine cart behind the Robot, and he falls into the canyon a 2nd time. HE STILL SURVIVES! In the 3rd and final wave more of the same but much more intense. More shockwaves, a double laser sword that requires higher jumps, more MetalHead spiders and 5 more pedestals but spread farther apart. |

Survive the onslaught and reach the highest pedestal. Shoot out the last mine cart behind the Robot and he falls into the canyon for good. The robot is toast! TADA! [Movie sequence begins] Jak sees the explosion down below and here's a funny clank noise. A weapon mod lands on the platform. It's an upgrade for the Vulcan Fury called Arc Wielder. Daxter does his song and dance routine but the fanfare is short-lived. Take the elevator at the back, up to the streets of Haven City. ACT 1 COMPLETE. |
