Jak goes back into the village. He meets with Damas inside his palace. Damas warns the people of Spargus that a giant storm is coming and to prepare the city. He orders Jak to go back out into the desert and rescue 4 Wastelanders who have not reported back. Do whatever it takes!! Jak returns to the garage compound. |
Jump in the Sand Shark and drive out into the desert. The visibility is a lot worse than it's ever been. There's sand in the wind everywhere. The Marauders are more aggressive this time as well. They are trying everything to cut you off from getting to the Wastelanders. Look to the proximity radar first to get to the area where the 1st Wastelander is waiting. As you get closer, you'll see the beacon floodlight nearby. The drive will be challenging in rough terrain. Get to the beacon. |
As you approach the light beacon, the waiting Wastelander climbs into your vehicle. He shouts at you to get him to the transport. A new radar blip appears and a new light beacon shines off in the distance. Watch the timer at the top. You have to reach the transport before the clock runs out. Its not going to be easy. If you have done this a few times, you will get to know the terrain of the area and remember the easiest and fastest way to get around. If not, you could easily get lost. |
After rescuing the 3rd Wastelander, Jak zooms off into the remote area of the desert. In the oasis, the 4th Wastelander lies dead in the sand. grab the Dark Eco Crystal from his hand. A Dark Maker Satellite has crashed and is buried in the sand. As Jak walks up, the satellite detects Jak's Dark Eco, springs to life and hovers in mid-air. It electrifies a ring of Eco around its base like a forcefield. Stay inside the ring. You'll be safe from injury. As the satellite sputters and falls to the ground, quickly jump away to a safe distance. |
Load the Beam Reflexor and fire away. The satellite tries to protect itself by spinning and releasing large tentacles that sweep across the sand. Jump over the tentacles as they sweep by and keep firing away at the satellite body. It will spring to life again and hover in mid-air. Go inside the Eco ring and wait for the satellite to sputter and fall again. Finish it off. It explodes into a million pieces and vaporizes, but not before transmitting another light signal out into space. |
Jump back into the Sand Shark. Jak has 3 minutes to return to the garage. The VISIBILITY IS ALOT WORSE! The storm is really bad. There are alot more Marauders this time as well. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! Use turbo as much as you can, and avoid being cornered or broad-sided while climbing or racing over dunes. Watch your radar closely and dodge the Maruaders as best you can. They will fight you all the way back to the garage. |
Once Jak is safely inside the garage, park the Sand Shark nicely in the row of vehicles. The Sand Hopper will be lit nearby, for another mission, but we first will go back into the city and meet up with Kleiver down by the beach. |
