Explore War Factory


After Jak & Daxter eliminate the defense grid outside the war factory, they ride the access elevator to the inside production area. Time to kick some KG butt!

War Factory 1 As the elevator stops, Jak sees trouble out in the cargo hangar. Load the PeaceMaker. Wait for the KG Death Bots to walk close together, then fire. Saves ammo! One thing you'll notice about the factory.. the walls and floors are not solid or secure. If you look around, you suddenly realize you're vulnerable to the elements and more important, you can fall off ! It's cool to watch the city of Haven and the Wasteland frontier, go by underneath you, while exploring the factory.

War Factory 2 Walk out to the hangar and look right. To access the upper platform, Jak has to walk up the moving conveyor belts. Fire a grenade missle to the upper area to clean-out the KG Death Bots before you go up the ramps. Up top, fire another PeaceMaker grenade missle down the corridor to take-out the patrolling KG Bots. The corridor is blocked off by a gate. Go to the right. Power slam through the floor grate to drop to the lower level. Walk out the hallway to the next room.

War Factory 3 There's a large rotating fan in the floor, blocking your way. Using Jak's Light Eco Powers WILL NOT HELP! Don't waste your Light Eco. Walk up to the drain pipe. A cut-away scene shows Daxter hopping off Jak's shoulders and crawling up the drainpipe. Up top, Daxter jumps to an overhead grate. GAMEPLAY TURNS TO DAXTER. Steer Daxter across the grating to the other side. Release Daxter's grip from the grate and drop down to the floor. Whack the nearby switch using a spin move.

War Factory 4 A cut-away scene shows the fan stopping. Run Daxter over to Jak. They re-unite. GAMEPLAY RETURNS TO JAK. Jump over the fan into the next room. Use the high jump to grab the railing to the upper platform. Up top, load the VulcanFury or BeamReflexor. There are KG Bots everywhere. Fire away. The robot hive in the floor continues to spit out Death Bots even while you're shooting. Unfortunately, YOU CAN'T DESTROY THE HIVE! Jump down to the lower platform quickly.

War Factory 5 Whack the nearby crates in the corner for much-needed ammo and health. To the left a conveyer ramp and at the end a floating platform. Look down and there's open sky. Yikes! Keep a weapon loaded and run down the ramp. Jump to the hover platform block as it approaches. Jump off at the other end. Peg any KG Bots still lurking. Whack nearby crates for more ammo and health. Load the PeaceMaker and peg the Bots up top, at the end of the next ramp. Go up the ramp.

War Factory 6 Walk up to the next pipe. Daxter jumps off Jak's shoulder again and climbs inside the pipe. GAMEPLAY TURNS TO DAXTER. Navigate Daxter across the overhead grating through the security defense lasers that cycle on and off. At the other end, the screen cam will pan back showing the switch below. Drop Daxter from the grating and whack the switch. This activates 2 moving block platforms. Daxter's not done... He has to re-unite with Jak. Wait for the block platform and hop on.

War Factory 7 This is a wild ride.. One of the neatest graphical effects of the entire game. While the block hovers to intersect with another floating block, you can see the world of Haven City below you, spinning at slow speed. It instantly gives you the perspective of where you are and how dangerous your mission is? Fall off or miss the intersecting block, and you freefall to your death! Jump to the next block and re-unite withe Jak. GAMEPLAY RETURNS TO JAK. Now take Jak and jump across the moving blocks.

War Factory 8 The next section looks to be blocked off. The center fence section is cracked. Load any weapon and shoot-out the fence. In the next room, a laser grid blocks the way. To the left another KG Death Bot hive generator. Load the BeamReflexor and shoot down the Death Bots as they fly over from the hive and start to fire. As you kill Death Bots, the laser grid starts to weaken and eventually evaporates. Run down the corridor to the locked gate. Go in the room on the right.

WEAPON STRATEGY: Killing KG Death Bots takes alot of ammo. If you can, use the PeaceMaker whenever possible. Make sure you have all the ammo capacity secrets unlocked. It makes a world of difference and the ammo crate reloads worthwhile.

War Factory 9 In the small room, Power Slam through the floor grate to the lower level. Peg the KG Death Bots and Spider Bots down below. Jump on the moving block and hover out to the platform. Go left and hover across the next moving block to the ramp. Walk up the conveyer ramps to the next hangar area. There's another fast-moving fan blade blocking your way. Walk up to the drainpipe. Daxter hops off Jak's shoulders again and crawls up the pipe. GAMEPLAY TURNS TO DAXTER.

War Factory 10 Up top, Daxter has more trouble. The security lasers here criss-cross the grating and there are moving firepots to navigate past. Monkey-bar across the grating avoiding injury as best you can. Watch the cycle of the security lasers, then find an open spot to wait while the lasers cycle on and off. Quickly climb past the lasers while they're recharging. At the end, the screen cam pans back again. Drop Daxter to the floor and whack the switch. Work your way back to re-unite with Jak.

War Factory 11 GAMEPLAY RETURNS TO JAK. Jump over the fan (that is now stopped) into the next hangar. Load the VulcanFury and zap any KG Bots nearby. Go to the last drainpipe. Daxter jumps off Jak's shoulders again and crawls up the pipe. GAMEPLAY TURNS TO DAXTER. Navigate through the moving firepots and laser grids. This obtsacle course is a little tougher. Go right, drop Daxter to the floor and whack the last switch. A cut-away scene shows 3 hover blocks merging to form a bridge.

War Factory 12 Move Daxter to the edge of the upper platform, and jump down to re-unite with Jak. GAMEPLAY RETURNS TO JAK. Walk around to the open area of the hangar. Shoot down the KG Death Bots nearby. There's a vehicle parked on the platform. Jump in the truck. Drive the truck up the small ramp onto the conveyer belt. BE CAREFUL! You don't have much room for error so watch your steering! Drive across the connecting block bridge and run over the Death Bots before they attack.

War Factory 13 Word of warning! The truck has NO machine gun or defense other then ramming into things. The KG Death Bots can damage the truck should they have a chance to fire weapons at you while you drive. 5-6 direct hits on the truck and you're toast. Run over any KG Bot quickly. To break through the gates, the truck has to be moving. Use the truck turbo if you need speed. Jump across the gaps in the platforms. Use brake right away as you land, or you'll slide off and die.

War Factory 14 Drive your way through the narrow hallways, smashing through gates and up and down the ramps. Run over the KG Bots hive generators wherever you can. There are some spots where you'll need to back-up the truck to get enough room to jump across longer platform gaps. Drive to the end and jump out by the circular elevator pad. Load any weapon and peg all the KG Death Bots and Spider Bots nearby. Clean-out the crates in the area first, before using the elevator.

War Factory 15 Jump on the elevator pad and zoom up to the next chamber. Up top, NO KG Bots anywhere? The place is just way too quiet? Walk around the corner and to the left. Enter the large room with the tiled floor. [Movie sequence begins]. It's time to meet up with our old enemy Errol. He has now converted to Dark Eco and is a fully mechanized KG Bot with an evil personality. We now know him as "Cyber-Errol". GET READY FOR A BOSS FIGHT!
