Get ready for a wild ride! We've done this before, but this time we have land mines and more obstructions. Zoom down the subrails blasting everything in your way with the plasma guns. Be careful with your steering. Don't go too far up the walls on the left or right. Slide up the walls to avoid the gaps in the wall panels, then gently slide down to the bottom again to see where you're going. Try to look as far ahead as you can, to pin-point your targets to gun down.

Avoid the rotating lasers in the tunnel, and stay clear of the solid support columns. Floating bomb clusters also get in your way. Make sure you blast them before they drift back and explode right on the hover car (causing instant mission failure). Navigate your way to the end. It seems like a long time but it's actually shorter then the 1st subrail run. When you reach the final tunnel, the hover car slows down. [Long movie sequence begins]

Screen goes black.... Jak & Daxter fly out into a dark chamber. Slowly the lights turn on. We are inside a huge sphere deep inside the planet. This is the Precursor Planetary Defense Command Area. It's AMAZING! Full of gyros and beautiful lighting effects and a long platform with an Oracle statue and 2 HUGE plasma charge cannons. Jak lands on the platform.... the Orcale greets Jak & Daxter on their successful heroic journey.

The Oracle grants Jak the gift of evolution... to become a Precursor... but guess who walks in.... Veger... and he's got a gun. He steals the show and walks into the Eco Light stream... The Oracle warns Veger to be careful what you wish for? But... the transformation has started. Daxter gets all bent out of shape about the Orcale not doing anything to help them, then something very strange happens??? The door to the Oracle statue opens. Guess what's inside? OH MY GOD !!!

Everyone's jaws drop. Inside the statue, a control room manned by Ottsels? Veger drops his Light cane and is stunned in disbelief... Now Daxter's confused... You're Precursors?.... The Father Ottsel says... Well... Yes.. Would you fear us if you knew we were furry little creatures?... The Father Precursor explains to Daxter that in fact he was blessed when he touched the Dark Eco a long time ago and he has been a Precursor all this time. He jumps for joy.. I'm a Precursor!

STORY LINE TIE-IN: This now explains why Seem the Monk was so respectful and kind to Daxter when they last met in the temple? She had been granted her life-long wish to see the creators... so she knew then... Daxter was in fact a Precursor.

Veger doesn't like the sound of all this and demands the furry Ottsels get down from this sacred place. He tries to shoot the Precursors but gets stunned into a stasis sphere by the Father Precursor. Then he realizes... OH NO?... Zap... he's turned into a furry little Ottsel... Complete with tail and tailored suit... Daxter laughs and tells Veger to get used to the itching... The Precursors tell Jak the job is still not done and need him to disable the Dark Ship while the cannons charge.

The surfer-dude Precursor tells Jak he has mondo minutes to get to the ship and back before kaboom. Jak & Daxter leap off the platform into the light inside the gyro. |
