After completing the tour of the Monk Temple, Jak responds to an emergency distress beacon out in the fringes of the desert. |

Ashelin has flown in from Haven City and is under attack by a band of Marauders, who spotted her. Jak comes just in time. Load the Beam Reflexor and take down all the Marauders that jump in from the passing vehicles. There are 25 Marauders to take down and more importantly, you have to defend Ashelin at the same time. Do everything in your power to stay close to her and make sure that no enemy or vehicle takes her life. Watch her health meter (upper left corner). |

After the last Marauder goes down [Movie sequence begins] Ashelin is delighted to see Jak. She has a present from Keira. She gives Jak his hoverboard. Ashelin says Haven City needs him, but Jak is bitter and doesn't want anything to do with saving Haven City after they kicked him out. Ashelin understands but is disappointed. She hands him the Seal Of Mar Key, which will give Jak access back into Haven City. Ashelin gives up the argument and takes off in her jet cruiser. |

Run back to the Dune Hopper nearby, and race across the Wasteland all the way back to the Monk Temple. Marauders will chase you down all the way. Gun down a few Marauders and go for turbo boosts as often as you can. Use the cave tunnels. |
