There are 8 powercells to get in this level. They can be found:
Chasing the 4 lightning moles back into their burrows for the geologist
Breaking the gorge time trial course record of 45 seconds for the gambler
Navigating and finishing the purple precursor energy ring challenge
Destroying all the infected dark eco weeds
Navigating and finishing the blue precursor energy ring challenge
Hyper aerial jumping to the suspended powercell over the lake
Navigating and finishing the blue precursor ring challenge
Finding and freeing all 7 scout flies

At the base of the Precursor Basin entrance there's a transwarp vent where Kyra has set-up the a-grav zoomer for you. Hop on and explore a HUGE new world. This whole level is done on the zoomer. Good time as any to get in some flying hours. First thing is to grab all the loose orbs along the ground. Get familiar with the open areas and all the tunnels. Avoid the dark eco gold boxes, but do look for and run over the grey metal boxes for 5 orbs each. There's lots of them. Scout flies are everywhere & anywhere.

Back in Rock Village the geologist asked you to take care of the lightning moles. These animals look like little red squirrels and could be hiding down in the grass anywhere. Once you get near one, they will spring up and start to run away. Chase all 4 of them down and follow them closely thru arches and tunnels & around pillars. Eventually they will slow down and dive into a nearby burrow. Once they're all in their burrows, go back to Rock Village and get the powercell.

Back in Rock Village the gambler has a wager on you to beat the time trial race. Look for the gorge entrance with the checkered tape. Once you zoom through and break the tape.. the timer starts. Jak has to finish the circuit in less than 45 seconds. Along the gorge are lots of nasty obstacles, like moving pistons, lurker soldiers, stacks of dark eco boxes, lots of ramps, tunnels and a dramatic drop with a 180 degree change in direction. Win the race record and go back to Rock Village to collect the powercell.

 |
The Green Sage also mentioned to Jak about the infected dark eco plants growing in the basin. On the far side of the basin you will find a field full of them. Nearby is a green eco energy vent. Once you pass through the vent, zoom through the plants like a weed-eater. You will have to go back to the vent several times because the plants pop-up and re-grow again if you're not fast enough. Once weed-free, a new plant will blossom and a powercell will pop out.

The next zoomer challenge for Jak is to navigate the purple precursor energy rings. The 1st ring is up a long ramp and starts the circuit. Jak has to pass through each ring in sequence before it vaporizes. This circuit is mostly at the ground level and requires only some aerial jumping. Jak even circles the transwarp vent by the area entrance. Be careful NOT to go near the transwarp vent. If you do, Jak accidently dismounts from the zoomer!! The last ring will be an aerial jump off a ramp. Get the powercell.

 |
From time to time while zooming around, Jak comes across blue flying lurkers. Like the lightning moles, they need to be chased down. Once you zoom over a flying lurker they will vanish. There are 4 to find and these guys are sneaky. They change course without warning and have to be carefully followed and watched. Your only chance to catch them is to head them off before they turn and pounce on them. This may take several tries and then you get a powercell.

The next challenge is to navigate the blue percursor energy rings. The positioning of these rings are a little tougher and more spread apart than the purple rings. The secret to successfully winning this challenge is to focus on the next ring one at a time. The timer between ring openings only starts when you finish a previous ring. You may have to do this course 2-3 times before you get the knack of it. As in the purple ring course, the last ring is a perfect hyper aerial jump. Grab the powercell in mid-air.
|
 |
Now it's time to practice some precise hyper aerial jumping. In the middle by the lake, there's a ramp leading to a donut and then into a skinny ramp. From there jump and zoom up another 2 ramps. At the very top, you can see 2 very small pedestal platforms that you have to jump to in sequence. This needs precise timing at full speed to bridge the gaps. At the end, turn left and at full speed climb the ramp and execute a perfect hyper aerial jump for a mid-air suspended powercell.
|
If you are done, you should have all 200 orbs and 8 powercells for this level. Returning to Rock Village, you should NOW have all 6 powercells and 50 orbs, and can leave this home world complete. Our next stop is Klaww up on the cliff.
