Radar & HUD Display
The circle in the lower left hand corner is your map radar close-up or HUD. You are represented by an arrow in the center of the circle. This is your navigation location system. Whenever you travel by foot or by vehicle, your progress will be shown in real time in the radar circle. All the streets and points of interests will also show up, including mission contacts.

Navigation GPS
The game is equipped with point-to-point GPS using the waypoint system. A waypoint is really your destination. Using the map, you can chart a course. Once you return to gameplay, your directions will be highlited by a bold stripe. Just follow the stripe in your radar circle. In newer cars, you'll have voice recognition GPS that will tell you when and where to turn.

Liberty City Map
Enclosed with the game package is a fold-out paper map. In addition, pressing [start] you can view the interactive map. All points of interest that you have currently unlocked, will be visible and available for GPS tracking. All your current mission contacts will be represented by the first initial of their name. Use the crosshairs to select a waypoint (or destination).

SAFEHOUSE: Your apartment. Location will move as gameplay progresses.

HOMEBREW CAFE: Caribean bar/tavern that has a billiard table.

PAY N SPRAY: Auto parts garage that will clear your star rating.

HILLSBORO PUB: A local tavern with outdoor patio and dart-board.

WEAPONS DEALER: A back-alley store for buying guns, ammo & armor.

TW@ INTERNET CAFE: A small internet store where you go for email.

TRIANGLE STRIP CLUB: Your after-hours hang-out. Bring lots of money!

CAR WASH: There are drive-thru locations in the city. $5 per wash.

PERESTROIKA CABARET CLUB: Night club with stage entertainment.

CLUCK N BELL: Fast food chicken outlets. Bring your friends here.

RUSSIAN IMPORTERS: Clothing store where Niko can buy new outifts.
